Attractive small Hotel overlooking Verona

A couple of miles outside Verona; walkable downhill but best reached on return by taxi - and Hotel does lay on one round-trip taxi per day in the room rate. Excellent breakfast spread with lots of fruit, and hot options. plus daily home-made cake. 2 swimming pools - both outside, and inside with a sauna and jacuzzi, but not really heated. Can be crisp! Nice room (6) with good sized shower stall, and a nice verandah. Nice staff (thanks Silvia!). Never busy, with only 9 rooms.

Be aware there is no restaurant for evening meals. They have a list, and we walked the first evening (5 minutes on a track) to a really nice local one.

Fabulous hotel and staff - I will be back!

The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful and the pools etc are immaculate. My room was very spacious with a super bathroom and extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast is delicious with a wide choice.

Very disappointing.

Very overpriced hotel. Our double deluxe room had a severely slanted ceiling so we could not stand up in 1/3 of the room. When I expressed my feelings about the room and the price the woman did not listen and talked over me. I said it very nicely. When my husband said it more forcefully she responded with more respect towards him. I did not appreciate her tone or her treating me as a woman differently.

The room was very cramped because of the ceiling slant. I think we were severely overcharged. It was not worth over 600 euros. I noticed it was much less expensive online and she made excuses for why it was about 300 euros online.

A heavenly gem for true relaxation in nature in your own luxury villa

The property is simply a heaven. The garden is well taken care of, the rooms exquisite and everything is thought for you to relax in nature. It is not in the city, so you need either a car or taxi, but the type of property - spa - clearly indicates that. The breakfast is great, everything’s fresh and the people are very nice, willing to help with anything. A taxi ride from the hotel to the city centre & back is ensured by the hosts, & that usually works very good. Relaxation-wise, you surely can stay there and enjoy a restful, beautiful time for recharge. They are dog friendly, & Albus, the dog host is so nice & shy. The Romanian lady cooking the tarts is super nice & she made some awesome desserts. The reception staff was also very nice, helpful and a true joy to talk to. Surely will come back 🫠

A sweet tranquil gem in the hills of Verona

I have stayed in many beautifully quaint hotels around the world and this is by far my favorite. The service is beyond exceptional. Unfortunately the day I arrived, I had left a piece of my luggage on the train. The staff immediately jumped in and helped me navigate my lost luggage. They are truly warm and so personable, maybe my favorite part about this hotel. The property and design of this hotel is so well thought out. It’s incredible gardens made my morning jet lag disappear within minutes. The sounds of the sweet birds, the comfort of the bed and the beautiful bath were such an unexpected treat. I truly enjoyed the entire property, including the most delicious breakfast, afternoon treats and cocktails. Think farm to table. My boyfriend and I did yoga on the terrace, enjoyed the jacuzzi, sauna and eucalyptus steam shower. Not only is this a quiet gem in the hills but it’s an easy taxi ride to the historical part of town. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening out on the town at a beautiful restaurant right in the river. I truly hope to come back to this magical location.

Perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort!

This is a very special place—a tranquil sanctuary where you can truly relax. The garden is extensive and lush, full of greenery and flowers that create a peaceful atmosphere perfect for unwinding. Our room had a nice mix of rustic style and modern comfort. The bed was super comfortable with a memory foam mattress. we had two floors, wonderful view from the upstairs. There was also a little dining area which we used. A great bathroom with a shower with fantastic hair conditioner. Sylvia and Fulya were very friendly and helpful. They helped us book dinner in Verona’s old city and arranged taxis for us, which was really convenient since it was included in the stay. We had a lovely, home made breakfast at a poolside table, served with exquisite cutlery, which made the start of our day feel special. loved the green juice we ordered! We also took a nice walk to a nearby vineyard restaurant that serves their own and local produce. The vineyard has a spectacular view that’s not to be missed, and their wine was amazing. they do wine tasting tours which we didn’t do—but definitely worth a visit. The spa was great too, with a sauna and pools, and we had it all to ourselves during our stay. Overall, a peaceful and relaxing place with great service. I would definitely recommend Villa Dei Gelsi!

Stunning stay for a Happy Birthday!

What an exceptional stay we had at Villa Dei Gelsi, I can't recommend this place enough!!! We came with our daughter, Margot who turned 5 while we were staying there. The staff went above and beyond to make her birthday morning extra special. The rooms are immaculate and the spa is gorgeous. We wish we could have stayed here longer and will hopefully return some time soon. Thank you again for a perfect stay and helping to make happy memories for my little girl.

this is not an hotel. The staff is not welcoming and there is only breakfast, which is a good one. But don’t ask for extras as it takes for ever to get them with a staff that has no experience. Considering the price and the name, Relais and Spa, it is not what I was expecting for sure.

Best boutique hotel with family feel in Verona

Wonderful amenities, welcoming staff, manicured gardens. Jacuzzi and spa facilities are not busy therefore accessible to those who may want a little more privacy. The best mattress and sleep we’ve had in years. We stayed in the suite, which came with a bath outdoors. The villa has a total of 9 rooms so the place never feels overly busy. Breakfast is great. We will be back!

The property was very small and friendly. There were not too many people there so felt very relaxing. The staff were incredibly helpful and made us feel really welcome. They made delicious food and drinks also.

Our room was a little dark, as only a door into a shady side entrance. So no view. But saying that it was very clean and comfortable.

Very nice location in the hills overviewing Verona. A 30 minutes walk to the city (down hills) with numerous food facilities. Geographical location offering a lot of different places to visit at a distance of about 50 kilometres which is great when you come by car.

A oasis of peace with a nice garden and a outdoor and indoor pool. The facility is providing nice snacks should you wish to spend your day sunbathing at the pool. Private car park.

Perfect stay for a few days to relax and see Verona or go on trips!

Highly recommend this Hotel/Spa if you can put up with staying a bit outside of the city! It was super clean! The pool, whirlpool, sauna are available at any time - in the summertime you can go into the outdoor pool. The ladies were super friendly and offered help, food, drinks - everything anytime, this was awesome! Highly recommend taking the breakfast, all freshly made and eggs etc. on request (no extra charge). We will come back!

Ultra-relaxing stay with wonderful hosts in an idyllic setting

Absolutely loved staying here - this hotel strikes the perfect balance of luxury and home comforts. The staff were so helpful and made us feel welcome right away, and we found the setting incredibly relaxing. The furnishings are beautiful and the spa is lovely. Perfect place to stay in Verona

An absolute heaven on earth, would definitely return. Extremely friendly staff, beautiful spacious rooms, we were even kindly upgraded to a better room. We really enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi in the spa and the beautiful garden. The breakfast was incredible, freshly squized juices, coffee, great selection of cheese, cake, bread and eggs, everything delicious. Had we known how amazing this hotel is we would have booked more than one night. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Super helpful, welcoming and kind staff, lovely grounds and pool, good sized room, delicious fresh blended juice served at breakfast, and connection with taxi company to go into and out of the center of town. They even picked us a fresh ripe pomegranate from their tree when we were curious and served it on a beautiful plate!

Verona's hidden gem

I don't know where to start. This is much more than just a "hotel". The atmosphere here is incredible. The people working at the villa are so friendly and they treated us extraordinary. You can see they all care about this place as if it was their place. Food is amazing, fresh and simple. The spa area is so relaxing and comfortable. We loved every bit about our stay.

Wifi would be better but there is a problem with it in the whole Verona so I think there is a bigger problem in the area and hotel couldn't do much about it.
