About this villa rental
Just bring your clothes & ski equipment and toothbrush, because this nicely-trimmed 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom house is loaded with space, high ceilings, privacy, nature views, and everything you’d ever want for the perfect mountain escape.
Our chalet sleeps 16 people (really! Loads of brand new beds and comfy mattresses), has an expansive piece of land and a circular driveway so you can easily park, a basement game room with billiards, air hockey, foosball, and more.
Guests will enjoy easy access to Hunter Mountain (it’s less than 3 minutes by car), a short walk to the town of Tannersville which is brimming with cute shops and restaurants, a few miles from nearby Windham Mountain and resort, and much more. Stay with us for a while and check out local hikes, access to the bustling town of Catskill at the bottom of the mountain, life-affirming Kaaterskill Falls (they’re among the biggest natural waterfalls in North America), and the quaint charm of Hudson.
All bedrooms are outfitted with king or queen size beds, new linens, mattresses and pillows, and one of the bedrooms comes with a bonus reading and sleeping loft!
Chefs will love our newly renovated kitchen with a sub-zero fridge and window that looks out onto picturesque nature scenery, and an oversized dining table so big families can sit down for hot meals together.
The living room is double size — really, it’s so big we split it into a TV room and an adjacent cozy den for relaxation. You’ll be just as happy watching a movie, Netflix, kids channels, or using WiFi after a day on the mountain as you will be reading a good book and kicking your feet up with a cup of tea.
Have kids? So do we, which is why our home is kid-friendly, with everything from a Nuna travel crib available to a colorful high chair. PLEASE NOTE: The house is kid friendly but not child proof. Additionally, the house is very suitable for families, couples and singles.
Dog parents will be happy to know our chalet comes with a plush dog bed for Fido, too. We’re pretty sure he’ll love long walks with you in the fresh mountain air!
The area is also famous for zip lining adventures, summer concerts, beer and wine festivals, snow mobile riding and guided tours, snow shoeing and snow boarding, and ATV-fueled days of fun. But hey, you could use the time to check out the local antiques stores and never break a sweat.
Booking the home to celebrate a special occasion, birthday, or romantic day? If you’re interested, we can arrange a local private chef and famed bartender to source a totally specific-to-you meal with local produce and ingredients. It will be a memory you’ll treasure!
The house also features a spacious TV room with a large sofa that easily fits eight people at a time, plus 2 club chairs. The TV 65” comes equipped with cable, Netflix and there is also high speed (400mgb) wifi internet in the house so you can stay up to date on everything back home, plus upload lots of images of yourself having the time of your life in our home. The kitchen was recently renovated with exquisite, rare granite countertops and has new appliances, so you’ll feel right at home if you’re the type who loves to cook and eat. We have pots, pans, plate, utensils, and just about everything else you’d need to make a meal – just bring the food!
The house is also great for the nature-lover in your group, offering access to a small patch of rocky mountains behind the house, a large yard, the ideal neighborhood for paved bike riding, and a short drive from some of the best hiking, kayaking, and horseback riding in the country. We’re on a dead-end street, too, so you know your children will have fun riding their bikes, playing, and generally being safe.
At the end of a long, outdoorsy or art-seeking day, you’ll be pleased to find our new gas/Charcoal grill on the Deck/patio. Nothing is more delish than a grilled meal after a long, adventurous vacation day! The Deck areas can easily seat 12 people or more. The furniture is brand new, so please treat it like you would your own.
House has the essentials. Clean towels and linen provided along with shampoo and body wash.

BATHROOMS
The house runs on a septic system. Please dispose of all baby wipes, paper towels sanitary products and food scraps in the garbage instead of in the toilets. Bathrooms are equipped with disposable sanitary bags.
Garbage: must take out with you all garbage to the dump station which is only 3 minutes away. Can’t leave it in the house or outside. Fee of $250 if you want to leave it. Otherwise bears will get into it and the city will fine you for $1000.
PROPERTY CONDITION & DAMAGES
All damages to the home will result in a cost to replacement and/or repair. Tenant most report if any damages are present at the property within two hours of arrival. If there is no report of any damage, tenant assumes responsibility for damages incurred during the rental period. Furniture, electronics, and artwork are not to be moved. Premises left dirtier than what is considered normal will result in additional cleaning costs. There is a Security deposit of $1,000.00 payable via VRBO after your reservation is confirm, and its refundable at the end of your stay.
KEYS: No Keys needed.
NO SMOKING
No Smoking is allowed inside the house. Smoking inside the house results in the loss of entire Security Deposit. Smoking is permitted outside. There is a $50 charge for leaving cigarette butts on the property.
NOISE
Outdoor noise should be kept to a minimum after 9 PM.

Guest have access to the entire house. large deck with lounge chairs and table, numerous lounge rooms throughout the house, fully equipment kitchen.

First of all, this was a tremendous house. Very spacious living room/den/kitchen area that allowed our entire group to spend time together easily. The bedrooms were ample and clean. The basement was very fun and full of games (pool table, air hockey, foosball, etc). Wraparound deck with hot tub. Just a great house. The location was literally minutes away from Hunter Mountain and up the street from a supermarket. The nearby town was very quaint and we spent time walking around a bit. Joseph, the home owner, was very helpful, very professional and very communicative. He texted me instructions and directions and was very accessible throughout our stay. I would 100% stay at this property again.

It’s good for family very spacious. Only thing that basement was very cold we didn’t spend too much downstairs as we tough we will for all the games that are downstairs, but other then that everything was ok .

Location of home was ideal for us on a family to be near family for holiday. Communication was quick between owner except for being over an hour late with check in entry code. House has indoor cameras which they state in the short term agreement that is required to be signed with an additional security deposit. Sheets and towels were clean but seems the house is very lived in year round not just used for a rental. New heating system left us with no heat our entire stay, though owner was in communication to try and adjust, no portable heating was given to guests.
