Villa Flamboyan

Very convenient location for everything you need for a fantastic holiday and close to many shops and restaurants. Our host was simply amazing and we cannot thank him enough for his kindness and assistance.

Nothing, it was exactly as described

Relatively comfortable, reasonably well equipped. Attentive, responsive host.

The property description clearly states "Villa Flamboyan in Yaiza offers direct beachfront access". This is not true. It is a 15min walk or a 3min drive from the closest beach. It is listed as having air conditioning, which it does but only in one of the three bedrooms - the other two have ceiling fans which are much less effective at keeping guests cool at night. Whilst acceptable, relative to the photos, the place is a little shabby - the kitchen cabinets are worn, whilst staying there was a fault with the oven and the only working air conditioning unit upstairs which both needed visits by technicians to be fixed. There is paint flaking off the walls outside and there are missing tiles in the pool and flaking paint in the bottom. The place needs a good refresh at the end of the season to live up to the photos as presented. The location is surrounded by villas under construction which makes it a little unpleasant when travelling back and forth.

Quiet and peaceful all you need for a relaxing break

Only air con in 1 bedroom

Like all other reviews, I found the property light, airy and modern. It was fairly comfortably furnished and beds were very good. It is very much like the photos advertised.

Like other reviews, heat was an issue as there is only air con in two of the rooms. Two of the bedrooms were stiflingly warm at night. Another MAJOR issue for us was the neighbours. The property is semi detached and we had the misfortune of having an exceptionally loud family move in next door. They cooked (BBQ) outside from 8am until sometimes after midnight. Played music. Shouted. The management company put in a call to the owners of the villa to request the noise be lowered but couldn’t do anything other than that. The management company suggested getting the police involved, which I was reluctant to do on holiday. We ended up moving out for two days into a hotel. If noise is not a problem then the villa is lovely but if you are looking for peace and quiet, there is a risk of very noisy neighbours.
