Villa Porta Romana - Family country house in the heart of Florence

Local shops for breakfast. Away from city center/ crowds / noise, but close walk. Beautiful with amenities. Peaceful. Relaxing. Friendly and personable hosts. Highly recommended for travelers to Florence.

The 2 bathrooms on main floor had tight showers.

We went to small grocery store about 10 minutes away we bought groceries. Their kitchen had everything and more to cook whatever we desired. Loved the little coffee brewer, used that and the frother everyday.

My wife and I are sitting here thinking about what we didn't like and we honesty can't come up with anything. I think leaving was the only thing we didn't like. Haha, it really just felt very homey there.

Lovely cosy villa in a private setting. Very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts could not have been more lovely and attentive. Very much appreciated that basics such as toilet rolls, washing up liquid, and bathroom toiletries packs were provided and there on arrival. The welcome bottle of wine and water also a nice touch. We enjoy walking so the location was great for us, especially with a car we appreciated the private parking and easy access out of city. But for evenings when we were less adventurous also nice pizzerias etc just as bottom of the road. Whether with friends or with family, I would definitely return.

Des hôtes adorables et aux petits soins, avec un accueil personnalisé. Une maison pleine de charme dans un cadre enchanteur, à la fois calme, bucolique et....à quelques minutes à pied du centre de Florence. Idéal pour découvrir la ville : à la fois pratique pour les visites et permettant de se reposer ensuite au calme. Nous avons passé une semaine de vacances idyllique en famille, avec trois enfants.
