Meric Gites

Meric Gites is a beautiful property offering an authentic gite experience in the Lot et Garonne. Our gite had a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge area and both French & English TV. We loved the pool for cooling off during hot summer days and enjoyed exploring the local area. It was also useful having access to a washing machine - we hired bikes from a local company for 5 days & washing kit was a must! Gareth and Fiona couldn’t have been more welcoming & friendly with just the right amount of interaction without being intrusive!

Nothing we didn’t like, just a couple of things to note. The stairs in the gite are quite steep & narrow - wasn’t an issue for us but worth noting if you are travelling with older family members. It was incredibly hot when we stayed - a fan downstairs would have helped a bit with those warmer days.

A very relaxing holiday experience in a charming Gite. Friendly hosts pointed us to some fun activities in the surrounding area. We loved canoeing down the Lot, cycling down the country lanes and visiting some oldy worldly towns. The welcome from the hosts made you feel at home and the shared garden and pool was great fun.

On walks around about, the paths were not well marked and often ended near properties with large guard dogs. But that is rural France for you.

The site and location of the gite was very peasefull and pleasent, very clean and tidy, and the pool was well looked after, on problems.
