Die Lage oberhalb von Ribeira Grande im Ortsteil Longueira, 30 min zu Fuß bis nach Ribeira Grande (!), war mir bei Buchung nicht bewusst. Es gibt einen von den Besitzern geführten Miniladen, ansonsten aber keine Infrastruktur, etwa für’s Abendessen. Das Apartment als Teil des von den netten Besitzern selber bewohnten Hauses liegt direkt an der Straße - mit entsprechender Lärmbelästigung.

You get an apartment in the house of the owner, with a seperate entrance. There is a kitchen, bathroom, shower and basic amenities. There even is a minimarket that is run by the owner directly in the building. The place is directly in the Xôxô valley with great views from the window.

The apartment is quite run down (old furniture, kitchen not well equipped and cleaning could have been better), the wall has white spots that are either salt coming from moist walls or something worse. As there is no Ac or ventilator a window equipped with insect nets would have been nice. All in all a budget friendly option with a nice owner but with limited comfort. Keep in mind Ribeira Grande is 30min walking distance minimum.
