Lovely room. Around a 10minutes walk to centre. Staff very slow to respond to room issues and had to be chased despite telling me they would come back to me in x amount of minutes, twice.

Before leaving the room at 10:00 AM, I switched the “Do Not Disturb” sign to “Please make my Room.” However, when I returned in the evening, I found the room was not cleaned or properly prepared as expected. I needed to take a shower and rest. I contacted the reception asking for housekeeping service, but I was informed there was no on-duty housekeeping staff available to handle the issue. Instead, they only provided towels and garbage bags.
Is it reasonable for me to handle these tasks myself? This is highly unprofessional and unethical behavior from an establishment that claims to be reputable.
