Would book again but property needs an overhaul

Stayed a few times over the years location is great

Property is slightly dated now Broken window boarded over waiting on a repairman no big deal Beds are very worn and soft now need replacing One of the dining chairs was extremely loose and wobbly which caused injury to a member of the family when they sat on it Shower is basic /poor and not what you would expect in a properly today needs upgrading Cushions at main window are faded and worn Only a yale lock on the front door of the property needs updating understand keys need to fit into key safe but there are better locks on the market now New carpet in hallway need this in living room room to

Amazing location. Clean, comfortable, lovely linen, little welcome pack for kitchen new sponge, cloth, couple of dishwasher/washing machine tablets. Fully equipped kitchen. Wish I had more of an opportunity to use it. Nice and warm.

I liked it all. Maybe a small milk/ water would have been nice to find on arrival.

Great location, very clean, good space for a family.

Location was amazing. Apparently the traveling annual fun fair think so too because we had Merry-go-round rides stationed right outside that window you can see in front of the dining table! Facilities were good. Parking is no problem to find, either in front or one street over. The church bells ding every 15 mins but this didn’t bother us. The seagulls also didn’t disturb us, but maybe that’s because we wake up early, before 7am. Shout out to the cleaning crew - the flat was spotless, thank you.

There was a mix up with the key so it took us an extra hour to access the property. I always seem to encounter issues with flats operated by a leasing agent… The flat is much more dated than the photos show. There’s only one bathroom - with the shower and toilet together. I didn’t find the mattresses that comfortable to sleep in. Please note there is a short flight of stairs to get to the flat. We visited in the summer and it was really difficult to find vacancies in the restaurants for dinner!!

Couldn't Ask for a Better Location

The location was absolutely outstanding. Right in the middle of the town with everything on your doorstep. Less than 10 mins to old course / beach etc. Flat had a lovely big window in the living room that you could sit and watch the world go by.

Generally it was a bit tired - nothing major just a lick of paint here and there. Only marks off for me was the shower. Terrible water pressure.

Needs more attention to detail.

Location perfect

On opening key lock it’s confusing as key fob has 85 on it when it should be 86D. Front door of apartment doesn’t have D on it. 86d, very small, is on a tiny plaque round the corner above the stairs which is hardly visible. Reading light on wall by lower bunk doesn’t work. Big bin for 86 in yard were overflowing. Looks like they haven’t been emptied for weeks.

Apartment is big and nice enough but don’t expect any sort of personal touch, it’s an investment property by the looks of things. needs work done to level the floor but it is perfectly functional for a weekend stay.

Great location but needs a facelift

The apartment was in a fabulous location and very clean.

The apartment would benefit from a redecoration in many areas and damage to walls repairing professionally. It would benefit from new curtains/blinds. The bunk beds need to be replaced. They are very high and the ladder very steep. The room would be better as a single. Another bathroom would be of great benefit too

We have stayed here before and it’s the best place we have ever stayed.

The students next door had a party we didn’t mind on the Saturday night people have to enjoy themselves.. Sunday night more than 50 people went to the flat next door my grandsons were crying after being asleep we went to the door to say we were calling the police if it didn’t calm down a bit eventually we had to call the police and when they arrived the crowds were gone.. matter was dealt with very quickly and efficiently so all good in the end.

Large & Central

Spacious, beautiful apartment in the town center. Fantastic location with view of the fountain on Market Street. Lots of ambient noise from seagulls and the bell tower. Lock box entry with only 1 set of steps up- no contact with host, which was easy.

The floor had a couple of spots that we had to watch out for-screw sticking up was one. Only certain pots/pans worked on the stove, so we had to figure out which ones which was just a bit awkward. There were some crisps spilled on the table and floor, making it seem like it wasn't really as clean as we hoped.

Central location was perfect with access to local area. Lounge room and kitchen area was pleasant. The apartment was very clean and tidy and bed linen, towels clean & fresh.

Windows are single pane glass and the noise from seagulls throughout the night was really loud & kept everyone awake. In addition the town clock struck loudly every 30mins. There is only a single bathroom and no separate toilet which was awkward with several people staying. The bathroom had a small sink with no shelves or area for placing toiletries etc when in use. The bathroom mirror was extremely small and impractical.

No wifi or instructions on how to get wifi if it was there. No full length mirror in the property. A warning of the church bell which chimes every half an hour would have been useful.

Very nice stay in a comfortable and well positioned apartment.

This is a very nice apartment, in a great location. Two nice bedrooms with comfortable double beds, and one bedroom with a bunk bed. The facilities are good, the location in the centre of St Andrews is great. Right amongst all the shops, pubs and restaurants, and within easy walking distance of the main St Andrews golf courses. Yes the floorboards are a bit uneven and the staircase to the apartment is a bit dark but you hardly notice this and in my view the very negative earlier reviews overexaggerate these issues.

Just about everything was fine. For a group of friends like ours, having the toilet outside the bathroom would have been better but you know this when you book.
