Stunning scenery, cosy room, fabulous location. You wont be disappointed.

Wow! the scenery here is spectacular. I hope to add photos to the review at a later date. The farm stands in acres of land with mountains all around and amazing views of the snowcapped Hochkalter and Watzman mountains. There are fabulous walks in the area. We did a walk through the Marchenpfad forests with lovely wood carvings all the way through and the most amazing views all around. This is alpine scenery at its best. This was a great base, away from it all, for Berchestgaden and Konigsee Lake. This is a very beautiful area. I imagine it can get very busy in Summer. Our hosts were very welcoming, our room was warm, cosy and ultra clean with a mini kitchen with fridge. They also sell a range of beautiful, local produce of all sorts which are displayed very nicely in the reception area. There is an honesty bar where you can help yourself to drinks and you just write them on a slip of paper. The owners also put a lot of effort into their floral decorations and outside ambience with lounging chairs and blankets. With lambs playing right outside. We had a fabulous stay, thank you!

There was only one small thing that I would say for future reference. When we first arrived, the smell of dog in the main dining room was quite strong. I find this a bit off putting. This changed the following day. The doors were open and the sun streaming in. Please don't let this put you off as you will have a fantastic time here and the owners are lovely as is their dog:)

We had an amazing stay at Wassererlehen! Alena, Josef, and their family were wonderful hosts, making us feel truly welcome. The breakfast was absolutely incredible, huge, with almost everything either from their own farm or local farms they work with. We originally planned to have it just once, but after tasting it, we couldn’t resist having it again on our last day! The views of the countryside were breathtaking. It’s a perfect place for kids, with a great playground and plenty of toys, our little one even got a farm tour and helped feed the animals! The place was spotless and very well-maintained. They even went the extra mile by posting back our son's forgotten jacket 😊 Plus, it’s in a great location for sightseeing by car.

Negative? Nothing! We were extremely satisfied and would love to return. Highly recommend! 😊

Lovely few days in a beautiful location.

This is a lovely location on a farm overlooking the fields and hills and very convenient for visiting the area around Berchtesgaden. There was a nice restaurant within walking distance. You also have the facilities to cook. We didn't do that, but it was useful for making hot drinks and breakfast. You can buy drinks downstairs and also order a special breakfast with products from the local area. The accommodation was newly refurbished and very comfortable. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Breathtaking! Absolutely wonderful!!

We cannot recommend this property enough! The rooms are ultra modern with well equipped kitchenette. Great size balcony with views to die for. Perfect location to be able to explore the surrounding areas and much more accessible than staying in Berchesgarden. Local supermarket and restaurants very nearby. The property owners are fabulous hosts. We particularly loved being able to buy their fresh products such as eggs and bread to be able to have for breakfast each morning. The self-serve bar area works perfect and is an added bonus! The hotel is like a scene from The Sound of Music with mountain views all around. Particularly loved waking up and seeing the goats, sheep, chickens and cows which add to the charm of the property. The option to be able to charge the car using the electric charge points was great! We will absolutely stay here again in the future!

Kudos to this family and their delightful, historic farm!

One couldn't do better than a stay with this lovely family. Breakfast was outstanding and the accommodations perfect for our family. Adults enjoyed the spectacular scenery with a variety of beverages from the self-serve kitchen while the children were enchanted with the animals, outstanding playground, and variety of toys. Even our new puppy was pleased. Gemütlichkeit!

Location, Room, Service… everything was Perfect. Actually, I’m speechless how was good to stay there. Wake up in the morning and see the mountains and the cows with the Bavarian bells, unforgettable. Also have the option to choose which kind of bread you would like to have in the morning, eggs from the region… everything was so delicious.

Absolutely beautiful location, very nice, clean, comfortable room & friendly, helpful staff.

Breakfast was not included & was offered at €26 per person. We opted for fruit & yogurt. Our room had a small kitchenette, so we could have cooked, if had chosen to do so. Decorated nicely, great view, & the family that runs the hotel was very welcoming, nice, & helpful.

The only thing that bothered me was that there was no soap provided in the shower. The host said most of her travelers bring their own soap. I had shampoo, but no soap.

Excellent stay! The owners were just lovely, the guesthouse is in a very easy and beyond beautiful location just 5 minutes outside Bertchesgaden. Super clean, delicious coffee. Lots of little extras that make a stay so nice. Highly recommend!!!

Clean & cozy appartment. We got all we need. Staff is very friendly & there are enough parking space. In addition, we were very lucky that the weather was very nice & can see the beautiful Alps from the appartment room. And the breakfast was also very delicious & generous :)

We just love everything, the nature and location. The owner Joseph and Alena was very helpful and friendly. They offer also fresh bread, milk and egg from their farm and bio products from the regional. The room interior is new and modern. The kitchenette is complete with everything you need for cooking. Tablewares and also cleaning stuffs is provided. If you’re looking for quite holiday in the nature then this is a perfect place. From the location you can also do a day trip to Königsee / Salzburg / Hallstatt. We will definitely come back again and share this property and our stays experience there to our Friends and family.

Friendly host. Can order bread and milk that is delivered daily at 7am. Host sells a variety of jams and eggs on location too.

Comfortable, well-equipped apartment in a lovely location - perfect for outdoor enthusiasts !

Wasserlehen is located on a farm in Bishchofswiesen which is a small, unspoilt village near Berchtesgaden. The studio apartment was well equipped with all cooking facilities and utensils descreetly stored in a cleverly designed cupboard. The bed was very comfortable and we had an amazing balcony with a picturesque view of the surrounding field and mountains. We were able to access the local supermarket, bakery and buses within a 15 mintue walk. There was plenty to see and do in the area and we enjoyed the amazing hikes in the surrounding area.

We loved our farm stay.

Lovely host was very welcoming and sweet. Answered all my questions and loaned me a map of the area. Very relaxing and quiet area a bit out of town for a nice farm feeling. I loved that I was told which cows my milk came from, who made the home baked bread, that the on property chickens laid the eggs I had for breakfast and she even sold me a jar of local honey. Such a personal touch was a welcome respite from hotels.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Moderne Ausstattung, ein großer Aufenthaltsraum mit Spielecke und gut bestücktem Getränkekühlschrank. Parkplätze mit E-Ladesäulen am Haus. Ruhig gelegen.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Wassererlehen ! Les appartements sont récents et très bien équipés avec tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin. Plein de petites attentions très appréciées sont déposées pour votre arrivée, et la kitchenette est très complète. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le frigo-congélateur, qui nous a permis de garder le régime BARF de notre chien même en déplacement. Les alentours sont sublimes et on est près de tout mais assez loin pour être au calme. Merci à Alena et Josef d’avoir été si chaleureux et accueillants ! Nous reviendrons sans hésiter.

Großartiger Aufenthalt!

Der Standort ist perfekt. Der Hof ist wunderschön - der Garten mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten perfekt angelegt und gestaltet. Man sieht, dass hier viel Aufmerksamkeit aufs Detail verwandt wird. Der Ausblick sowohl vom Garten als auch den Balkonen auf die Landschaft und die Berge ist unbeschreiblich schön. Unser Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles wirkte sehr neu und sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Möglichkeit sich Getränke und Produkte wie Eier und Käse unkompliziert jederzeit aus dem kl. Hofladen zu holen ist toll. Die Unterkunft können wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!
