Great stay, everything you could need and perfect location

Great location local to so many lovely beaches and walks. In the resort itself, its great you can see goats and pigs ! In the cottage great facilities everything you could need. Comfy bed. Hot tub was fantastic!! Downstairs very spacious. Parking was very close and very easy. Will be back!

Upstairs a bit less room, especially if you're tall the ceiling is very low in bedroom and bathroom. Not a problem for me, more so my husband!

It was fantastic a delightful and well thought out holiday home. Thank you. We throughly enjoyed it and will return. Really Clean & comfortable and open plan spacing ideal for adults and dogs! Modern and in good condition Good for dogs and adults Hot tub was clean and luxurious Good guide where to eat and order in. Lovely local animals especially pigs & goats Staff on site were lovely and friendly

It was super but just a bit of feedback: Would like some softer areas ie grass in the back yard not just slate. Dog walks not on site but not too far off site up a road. The barbecue and fire really for cosmetic use only or you get smoked out as we did by the neighbours. The vacuum did not work and was well past its sell by date. Extra’s a little pricey ie kindle and drinks!

Lovely break, great value, super location!

Pretty much everything! Great location for local areas, well maintained & very relaxing. We have stayed a few times before, we used the pods and they are also lovely.

Late check in and early check out is always a little disappointing as you lose of a lot of time. I know the reasons behind it I guess.

Great stay, highly recommended

Enjoyed a 9-night stay at a great location, in am excellent recently built cottage with everything you need. The whole site was brilliant too, especially the animals - goats out the front window entertained the kids every morning! Definitely recommend and will certainly stay again.

Excellent if it was a young family, but for 4 adults - not really suitable because of 1 bedroom.

Location was good to very good but not near any town for shops. The downstairs room and hot tub were very good, even excellent.

The bedrooms were a little tight as in headroom in places - same for the bathroom (upstairs). The main bedroom had I noticed had hangers and place to hang cloths etc, even a tv. But the other bedroom where I and a friend slept was very very poor. It had NO HANGERS, NO PLACE AT ALL TO HANG CLOTHES - we even brought hangers just in case, but totally USELESS, AS NO PLACE TO HANG THEM! Also as i stated above ceiling very low in places. We were amazed that the main bathroom had NO WINDOWS - even a Velux, like in bedrooms.

The jacuzzi outside was quite nice, and the living room / kitchen / patio are quite spacey.

Most of the upstairs floor (bathroom / bedrooms) has a very low ceiling which means you're constantly banging your head around. Some of the fixtures and fittings were clearly cheap and of poor quality.

The house is in a beautiful setting. So peaceful, close to amenities. Hosts are helpful and friendly. Treats left for the children and us on arrival. Animals to interact with on the site. Excellent standard of accommodation. Would definitely recommend.

The heat in the bathroom was extreme due to the towel rail been on constantly and no window. Could have been cleaner when we arrived Would have been nice to have cushions on garden chairs

Acorn Cottage

Fantastic facilities and a lovely cottage. Host was great, leaving us all the little extras we would need for our stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The only down side was it was a surprise to find the cottage was literally on a building site. They are building a number of new cottages which look like they will be ready for the summer - but it was a bit misleading not to mention the extensive work taking place in the immediate surroundings. To be fair , very little noise or disruption- but there was no indication prior to arrival that this was the situation. Still scored the property highly as was comfortable, host was great, would return and all the family enjoyed the break.

very uncomfortable beds. Lots of ongoing construction, although no work was ongoing during our stay as it was bank holiday weekend, however i wouldn't recommend staying during the week due to ongoing works.

Location was superb and tge cottage itself was modern and clean

We were unaware that there was construction work ongoing on site when we booked. The workmen were onsite every morning by 7:45am and the work continued all day which was noisy - this was the only downside to our stay.

The highest quality, dog friendly accommodation we have ever stayed at!

Cottage is beautifully decorated and brand new. It was spotless and just so well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was amazing and such a welcome after all day of walking. I literally cannot fault anything about the cottage 😀 The owner of the site is super friendly and the welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch. We will definitely be returning

I didn’t dislike anything. My only recommendation is to maybe get a hose to be able to wash down dogs as this would have been ideal after a day on the beach

The amount of facilities in the cottage were spot on, literally couldn’t have asked for anymore, wether it come to cooking there were more than enough plates/pans etc. Place was so clean and tidy and just stunning.

Lovely weekend away

Acorn cottage was a lovely place to stay for the weekend. The host was very accommodating providing a cot and a high chair for us. As soon as we arrived CBeebies was already on the television and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine waiting and hot chocolates. The beds were really comfortable. The hot tub was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend.
