Villa Magdalena

A lovely restored old villa in an old Cretan village that is the highest village on the Cape Drapanon. The old stone makes the building naturally cool in the heat, but there is air conditioning to back this up. The grounds are very special. A beautiful terrace with a barbecue is outside kitchen, we had great family meals into the evenings fresh fish, meat and vegetables are easy to buy either at the two small local supermarkets or down in Georgioupolis. In the evening sunsets and drinks on the balcony are a must before supper. The pool is lovely, on your first walk down to it you do wonder if it is a part of a boutique hotel. Overall a wonderful peaceful property full of an older Cretan charm and character that the stark modern villas can’t provide.

Très belle maison avec du cachet dans un charmant village. A proximité d’excellentes tavernes et de mini supermarchés pratiques pour les courses du quotidien. Belle piscine，2 grandes chambres et deux autres avec 2 et 3 lits simples. En dehors des endroits les plus touristiques.

Aucun accueil， pas de livret d’information sur la maison ou de mot d’accueil， contrairement à ce que l’on peut trouver dans d’autres maisons en Crète. Le ménage n’avait pas été fait dans les petites chambres. La robinetterie est ancienne et mériterait d’être changée. Des odeurs d’égout dans les salles de bain， les premiers jours. Manque de produits de base en quantité suffisante (papier toilettes，capsule lave vaisselle…)， idem à la cuisine où il y avait uniquement du sel et du poivre.

The Villa is much more beautiful than on the pictures ! The garden is very beautiful too ! The view on the sea from the terrace is incredible, the pool is great ! Everything has been thought to make our stay unique ! Beach is very close. Best place ever (and we travel a lot !) !
