About this apartment rental
Beautiful furnished 3rd floor 2 bedrooms 2 bath and full size kitchen w/ living space 1116 sqft located across the street from the Beach and next to the Pool. This condo sleeps 6-8, 2 bedrooms (plus queen bed couch and extra rolled mattress) and two baths, one with a tub and one with a step in shower. This is perfect for families, friends, or couples traveling together.
Enter this fantastic gated community to find soaring palm trees, vibrant and cheerful buildings, and a spa-like pool area. Located on the third floor of the building (no elevators), this home will offer you and your travel companions unparalleled views from the private balcony, and no noise from your neighbors above!
The fully equipped kitchen, which is open to the dining area and living room, offers granite countertops, beautiful wood cabinets. Equipped with all of the necessary cooking appliances, you’ll be able to prepare all of your favorite recipes while on vacation.
Both bedrooms with queen size beds (also included a playpen for baby, and rolled mattress foam) have very large walk in closets, large dressers, night stands, cable TV in living room with 150 complimentary HD channels and free high speed Wifi. The second full bathroom is directly across from the second bedroom and has a sparkling clean full bath tub with shower.
Pool towels, beach mats, a Mac folding wagon beach cart, are also available for our guests and are stored in the master bedroom closet. Guests can enjoy beautiful sunrises, sunsets and moonlit ocean views from the balcony.
Galveston Island hosts many activities, including but not limited to a wonderful beach, the Strand, Moody Gardens, golf courses, fishing, Schlitterbahn, Rain Forest Pyramid, Lone Star Flight Museum, Pleasure Pier, and so much more! Spend your days exploring different restaurants and shops, riding on thrilling roller coaster rides, or learning all about flights and aviation.
The Dawn condos are gated community with its private full fitness center, club house, located for a fully unobstructed view of the gulf. Two beautiful pools and two hot tubs are also available for all guests to enjoy. A charcoal grill and picnic table are also located adjacent to each pool.
The beach access to the property has just been expanded. The expansion is spectacular! And huge thanks to The Galveston Parks and Recreation committee, we now have a beautiful 200 meter wide soft sandy beach directly across from The Dawn!

The view from the balcony was worth the 3rd story walk!
The complex pools were easy to access, they were clean and refreshing! You walk right out the gate and across the road to the beach - if you wanted to - I personally prefer to look at the beach and not actually go onto the beach but that's just me! The proximity to the fishing pier was a win for us as well. Also convenience store and Walmart are right there so know need to travel far for anything you might need.
The only warning I must give is please be prepared for the 3rd floor walk! You must walk from parking to the back of the complex up a small flight of stairs and then up to the 3rd floor to the complex. This is not for everyone so do not rent this unit if you have mobility issues! Also pack your items in a manner that will require less bags. If you are going to go grocery shopping bring or purchase reusable groceries bags so you have less items to carry up and back down the stairs.
I can promise you that it's worth the walk but just be prepared for it before you rent the unit!

We spent three nights here on a quick family getaway. The unit was clean and well laid out for a family of four. The parking lot is right next door and you can see your parked car from your window. Easy access to the pool. There is a parking fee that you must pay to the HOA so be aware of that. Seamless check in and out processs. Would come back agai!

Property was much older than pictures make it look. Condo was not as clean as pictures make it look. Mold in master shower and window sills. Dust was absolutely every where. We found hair in the sheets and the shower. Floors were not clean, our socks were just covered in dust, dirt, and sand. I will add that the Condo was well stocked on most things. Plenty of large towels, only a couple of wash rags though. Kitchen was well equipt. Water pressure was great. The pools were very nice and never super crowded. We had a great vacation, just wish the condo would've been a cleaner. Also, we weren't aware of the fact that no elevator was available and carrying everything up 3 flights of steps was definitely a workout multiple times a day.
