This luxury studio apt. is located on the sixth floor of the elegant Matapalo complex. The views from the terrace are breathtaking. With a large living space, full kitchen, and private terrace with outdoor Jacuzzi, this is the perfect romantic hideaway.
This unit can be rented as a 2, or 3BR unit as well. Completely closed off from the lower floor, the studio can be opened to a two bedroom condo below.
The unit has the light floating feeling of being in a dream. Cream-colored tile floors with round-pebble detail span the unit, spilling out of glass doors onto a patio that feels like it leads into thin air.
The height is dizzying and the large windows and glass doors give the feeling of having stepped into the sky instead of a penthouse suite. From the ample balcony where the Jacuzzi bubbles, the earth has faded away and you are left only with the sea stretching into infinity, the sound of waves, the brush of the wind. In addition to a delightful king sized bed, there is an enormous walk-in closet and a spacious bathroom equipped for two. A generous living area and a small kitchen with granite counter tops will meet your simple cooking needs. The studio has a microwave, coffee maker, small fridge and stove top.
Below, an enormous swimming pool of organic design is the center of the garden area and boasts a swim up bar which you won’t want to miss. Across the street an oceanfront restaurant is preparing tropical delicacies to add sweetness and spice to the memories you will carry with you for a lifetime.

The place is great! Awesome view and very spacious for two people. Lola is a great host and very responsive. Also great to have access to pool and close to beach! Very central location in Tamarindo!

I am reviewing the condo that is connected to the unit below. I only had access to the top unit. I am sure some rent the whole unit. It is separated by locking doors. This is a very high end unit, very well appointed. It is showing some age, but is spectacular. It is listed as a 1 bedroom; but it is a studio master suite. No door between the bed area and the rest of the unit. The patio area has an older jacuzzi tub that does work. The railings on the patio are less than 3 feet high. Great views of the ocean and mountains. The location is walkable to everything you would want to do in Tamarando. You have access to a really nice pool area. The internet is not alway reliable and has normal speeds of 50 Mbps. I always bring my own streaming device to connect to the provided TV. They do have some access to Netflix and the like. The bed is firm and comfortable. The elevator worked for my entire stay. There is a security guard at the gated entrance. Overall a super place to stay.

The condo was great with a fantastic view over town and to the beach...
Nicely furnished although we think, it could use more comfortable sofas and chairs.
There is a very small sofa in the LR, large enough for a 5’4” person like myself to lay down and relax. My husband had to read in bed cause it is too small for 2 people...could use a second sofa and or 2 chairs.
The bed was super comfy but 2 pillows are not enough and they were totally uncomfortable... luckily, we always bring 2 with us when we go on vacation.
The coverlet on the bed had stains so i took it off and the 3 throw pillows where falling apart...the kitchen did not have the greates assortment of cooking utensils.. not even a cutting board or sharp knife.
The sofa and chair in the terrace are uncomfortable to lounge and had stains... needs new bottom cushion and for the back. No lounge chairs either... Hard to relax on a terrace on 2 chairs and a sofa with no back support...
The bathrooms were fine but the lights above the sinks gave no light for shaving or anything else one needs like to put on make up...water pressure was great and hot water almost instant.
It states on the RPM website that there is a washer and dryer but is not true. We had to find a laundry service because Doris Hotel does not offer it to matapalo guests.
We found it around the corner. They wash the laundry but half of my t.shirts came out shrunk!
They really should have W/D at condos!
