Good value, great shower, and fast internet and less hurried environment.

Price, location away from downtown, but only a 6 minute walk, great shower, fast internet, this room was quiet and always a cool breeze when the window was open. Did not watch TV so don’t know. Coffee maker in the room is always great. Beautiful park 2 minutes away and good selection of restaurants and cafes nearby.

Plug for my phone near the bed.

If you want to climb the hill or enjoy the park, it's a great location. Communication was good and they're friendly. It's one of the cheapest places available to stay. Including a range of soaps and shampoo is a nice touch. The view from the terrace of the hill is very nice.

The rooms facing the street are noisy as it is a trunk through road with heavy vehicles very frequent. It would be quite easy to add a bedside light & power point (if not an extension cable). Most people value that. The cleaning fee is 25% of the cost. I know you can see it when you review, but when you're tired & looking for the cheapest available, I feel that pricing this way makes you feel disappointed.

In walking distance from Alameda and center with many restaurants around and interesting places. Kitchen at disposal. Large shower. Private.

The equipment and furniture is a bit dated. Quite noisy in the morning.

Had an amazing stay in lovely Orizaba

Everything was great, but especially the location! A nice, clean room with a comfortable bed, extremely reliable WiFi and very hot water. The building is quiet and secure. Vick and Jaime were very hospitable and responsive hosts. But the location, wow - one block from the entrance to Cerro del Borrego, with beautiful views right outside your window; just a few blocks from the lovely alameda, and a short walk from downtown; plus delicious antojitos just across the street.

Other reviewers aren't wrong - the shower drain does have some funky smells. Just keep the bathroom door closed and it's okay. Honestly, it's a small price to pay for staying at such an amazing place.

A very good place to see Orizaba

It had a very friendly, communal vibe. There were good walks and restaurants nearby, and a beautiful park to bring our dog. Vick was very friendly, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable.

The on street parking can be difficult to find, but Orizaba is a busy city

Vick is nice, like everyone says, but there are some things that should be known for potential guests. The photos make it look more elegant than it is. It's a basic pension, but the walls and floors, kinda need some clean up and attention. My room was room 8, nice enough size, but the windows didn't close and it was early Dec and I wore my scarf, along with sweaters, leggings and socks to bed, along with 2 blankets and was still pretty cold. Spent the night before in another place and was fine, same temp as my night at Vick's.

Bathroom drain smelled very strongly of mold and sewage. Once I put the cover on the shower, it mellowed out after a bit, but I've spent many months in Mex and that was one of the worst smelling drains that I've encountered. Mentioned above,windows don't close, had to get internet code from another guest, no one is really there after they give you the key, chat a bit and leave. They will respond to issues, but no official person is there on site. So, next to my room at night was a water pump, I believe, that would run loudly, (like an ice machine) for about 15 minutes out of every hour while people were up, but stopped after midnight. Sorry, but one more issue. I usually take the bus in Mex, but splurged and got a rental car. I asked about parking, cause there is none in front. The garages nearby don't service tourists overnight, they were only for nearby employees, so I had to park and walk about 1/2 a mile to park in another neighborhood. Vick met me later to unload, but offered really no help in the parking situation. It has to have come up before, no parking, right?

Todo excelente, el anfitrión atento desde antes de la llegada, tenía unas dudas respecto a los lugares y muy amablemente me orientó, la limpieza diaria y las instalación muy buena, relativamente cerca del centro, caminado a 10 minutos, parque de la Alameda a 5 minutos, y la vista de la terraza por las noches de lo mejor super recomendable

No soy quejumbrosa Pero por si las dudas deberían de checar la habitación 5 que fue en la que me quedé, las llaves de la regadera no se podían asustar correctamente para tener agua tibia en la regadera o salía muy caliente o fría, y la cerradura del baño de momento se abría sola... En lo personal son detalles que no me importan Pero mejorar eso no estaría de más.

La privacidad de las habitaciones y que cuentan con su baño, además que esta en una zona tranquila y cerca de la Alameda. Sin duda regresaríamos.

Que se filtraba la luz por la ventana, quizás con unas cortinas más gruesas quede solucionado, pero no afecta la estancia.

Hospedaje perfecto y bien ubicado

Las habitaciones están muy completas, tienen todo lo que necesitas, camas sencillas pero cómodas, un clóset muy amplio y su baño completo con sus artículos necesarios. El lugar es muy limpio, bien organizado y el anfitrión muy amable y cordial. Las áreas comunes (cocina, comedor y terraza) no las ocupamos pero en general estaban muy lindas a la vista. Y en cuanto a la ubicación al menos para mí está perfecta, porque podía llegar caminando al Auditorio (menos de una cuadra), a la Alameda y a sitios de comida. En general todo perfecto.

Sin embargo algo que si les aconsejaría cambiar es la puerta del baño, al menos en la habitación que me tocó, la puerta era como de herrería y al abrirla y/o cerrarla hacia demasiado ruido y se trababa un poco, por lo que si vas solo o en pareja puedes optar mejor por dejarla abierta todo el tiempo, para evitar molestar con el ruido a los otros huéspedes, pues si se escucha incluso fuera de la habitación, pero si vas con un grupito de amigos o con algún familiar y quieres privacidad si o si tendrás que cerrarla...

Muy buena ubicación, tiene varios espacios compartidos en la casa, habitaciones cómodas, el personal muy amable y es fácil comunicarse con ellos.

El baño no tenía ventilación y olía un poco mal, aunque nada muy grave.
