Amazing little getaway in an ideal location!

My daughter and I stayed here and it was such a lovely lodge. Nicely decorated, all the facilities we needed and very clean and tidy. It was quiet and the WiFi was good (the last place we stayed had very slow WiFi so this was refreshing) and the guests in the other lodges weren't noisy either. We didn't have to contact the hosts at all, but they sent nice instructions with lots of information should we need anything. Would definitely stay here again the next time I'm working in the area if it's available. Usually when booking a place to stay, the photos make the property look a lot bigger/nicer than it is in person, but this was actually the opposite. Not that the photos make it look bad (otherwise we wouldn't have booked it) but it looks even better in person, and is even more spacious. It's in a really nice area too, and is in very short distance to a large shopping are and museum, but far enough for it to not be too busy at the same time. Absolutely no complaints at all.

The only thing I could think of is that one of the times we went into the property, one of the other guests in the other lodges was smoking cannabis, which I didn't really want my daughter having to smell. But this isn't something the hosts are to blame for, in fact it states in the instructions that smoking is not permitted, so the individual is at fault. I'm sure if I reported it the hosts would have dealt with it but I left it in case it was a one-off which thankfully it was. I can't think of a single other thing to complain about though, when we first arrived there was a lot of construction workers, etc. staying there which I was worried would mean rowdiness but thankfully that wasn't the case, it was very quiet and peaceful. :)

Good for the price paid.

The property was all that we needed, a base, comfortable beds and pillows, privacy, a good bathroom, we could get Quest on the tv which pleased my husband, we can’t get it at home. A little too easy to come and go, we didn’t meet the owners so cannot comment on them. We were expecting a double and a single bed but it was two doubles which was good. Good parking near to the lodge. Lovely park to walk around just across the road. I would advise to take a sponge/scourer for washing up and your own beverages. We came mostly for the railway museum. All in all a good stay.

Very nice stay, the week was hot so only let down was how hot it got inside the lodge.

Location, cleanliness, facilities were all very good.

No air conditioning, too hot inside on a hot day. Difficult to sleep due to heat.

We had a lodge which sleeps 4 but only had a sofa which was 2 seater and only had 2 seats at dining table, The light over sinks could do with fixing back to wall

Pleasant stay in lodge.

It was spacious; hosts were super quick at responding; great hairdryer (!); we were pleased to discover two double beds, not a single; toiletries provided; bed REALLY comfy; powerful shower and good wifi and tv reception.

Some of the shower head ‘holes’ aren’t letting water through; toilet seat is loose; shelf below bathroom mirror needs tightening. Neighbours were really noisy.

Ideal for a short stay in Didcot.

Very quiet location. Lodge cooking facilities are basic but all was clean and in very good order. Great shower and comfy bed. Very spacious. Although lodge is non smoking they appear to be used by contractors so on the first night mid week when we arrived there was smoking happening outside next door which was not pleasant, however it was a minor issue and only noticed as a non smoker. Short walk to a range of great restaurants and a nice pub.

Nice wooden cabins, giving a relaxing feel.Spacious, very comfortable and warm Nice powerful shower. Hob, microwave, kettle, fridge tea, coffee,sugar provided.Grocery stores, and a few pubs/restaurants within 10 min walking.dusrance. Huge park just opposite the complex, with kiids play area.

Almost everything was great - just that there was a bit of water drip from the sink onto the stored crockery in the cupboard below.. Bed linens clean but old,, might need updating.

Al llegar al lugar nos recibe un asombroso paisaje nativo y una muy bella estancia sumergido en este. La casa es demasiado cómoda, acogedora, limpia y con hermosos detalle de decoración. Cabe destacar la excelente ubicación, cerca al río y lugares de interés para visitar, como por ejemplo termas, ojos del Caburgua, centro de pucon y salto del león. 100% recomendado! Muy buena experiencia, no se arrepentirán.

La casa se encontraba en medio de un bosque nativo, con todas las comodidades, amplios espacios y estratégicamente muy bien ubicada. Muy cerca de un río, (caminando no más de 5 minutos), camas muy cómodas. No hay vecinos muy cerca, lo que da privacidad y tranquilidad que se agradece.
