Cottage was great - very well appointed and kitted out. Housekeeping was excellent. Location was good but the wintry weather made leaving on the last day difficult. Short walk to Esk Valley line station made access without car to places easy. Cottage is located in a very beautiful valley. We would definitely consider staying here again.
The booking system was poor. Multiple identical and irrelevant emails in advance of stay. No proper directions to find the property which was not easy. The nearest station is not Lealholm as stated but Glaisdale. Parking is not easy if there are 2 cars.

Arrival was very easy and no need to be exact due to the key safe. Willow Nook was very clean and well appointed. The living room was very comfy with the wood burner and tv, plenty of seating, a good sized coffee table and still plenty of room for the dog bed. The conservatory with the dining table sofa and reading chair was a great place to sit and read with more room for the dog to stretch out. The small outside space was perfect and in more warmer months offers a great outside space.
Both bedrooms were comfortable the extra half bath (toilet and sink) in the master was great. The bathroom is well appointed with plenty of towels provided.
The kitchen is a great size with everything you would need.
The location was perfect, a lovely quiet village, the shop was great and the butchers, although a little pricey, was excellent quality and very friendly. Walking from the cottage was easy with a couple of footpaths virtually just outside the door one leading to the shops and museum the other offering a way across the fields, which can end at the pub if wanted.
Easy access to the Moors, its very pretty villages and excellent walks.
Whitby is a few miles away if you use a map or sat nav, without it can take a few hours via Middlesbrough!
Would highly recommended a visit to Saltburn-By-Sea a complete revelation with a great pier and lovely beach and many great coffee and food places with some great shops farmers market once a month.
Closer still is the wonderful Robins Hood Bay still a bit of a walk down the hill more so on the way back up but some lovely independent shops and drink stops.
York is about an hour away we used Marygate Car Park just behind the museum gardens reasonably priced for York and very easy access to the centre and shops. Would recommend SPARK: York for eating its one of these shipping container multi food places needs smartphone to order and pay.
Willow nook offers a great stay in a wonderful location.
The only problem I really had with Willow Nook was the shower. Its an electric shower with limited flow and has been fitted with a shower head which has to be turned to a trickle just to get some warm water. This though would be fixed with a smaller less functioned shower head. Although a nuisance it wouldn't put me off returning as once you get used to it and leave the setting alone a wash is a wash and there's always a bath to relax in.
My only other suggestion and this is definitely more personal would be the heating settings the house stays warm but We more often than not returned in the evening after the heating had gone off so would use the boost, setting the timed heating an hour later might reduce this need for extra heat.
