Hugely overpriced and TV problems
We unexpectedly received a call 45 minutes before our due check in time of 3pm to say we could check in early, which was nice, but we were still driving there at that time so couldn’t take advantage. The property was clean and a straight forward 20 walk into Aldeburgh on one road. 10 minutes drive to The Maltings.
We paid £709 to stay here for three nights, which we thought was hugely overpriced. The TV and DVD player didn’t work properly and should be modernised, especially for the price charged. The DVD (and VHS!) player did not have a remote control, so we were unable to enjoy the films we brought, as three of us are hard of hearing and need subtitles (which are standard on every TV sold). There was the ability to connect to our own Netflix account, but that didn’t work either. When we phoned the owner and he was unable to fix it. So all there was left were the basic terrestrial channels. As there is only one bathroom it is unsuitable for four adults. Check in at 3pm, check out at 10am. It is essentially a granny annex.
