Blue Moon on Bald Head Island is the perfect beach house to feel at one with nature
The panoramic views are nearly impossible to beat:
Look to the left and see the legendary Frying Pan Shoals of Cape Fear.
Look to the right and witness magnificent sunsets and huge ships sailing in and out of port.
Look straight ahead and watch dolphins frolicking and pelicans diving for dinner.
Look up and be captivated by an unbelievable night sky, frequented by shooting stars and sightings of the Milky Way.
Feel the cool ocean breeze. Smell the salt air. Let the sound of the waves lull you to a peaceful night's sleep.
The beach access is directly in front of the house, not down a winding boardwalk or road as is often found with other oceanfront homes. This beautiful stretch of beach is usually only spotted with a few other people and it is common to have it all to yourself.
If you forgot your sunscreen or need a cold drink, it just takes a minute to run back to the house and get whatever you need. There are also plenty of beach chairs, sand toys and boogie boards stored on the porch for your easy access and enjoyment
Why load up a cart to haul everything to the beach? If you are thirsty, it is just a few steps back to the house. If one member of your group needs a break from the sun, he can relax in the swing on the lower porch. Baby needs a nap, but you don’t want to leave the beach, hang out on the upper deck and see the ocean while still in earshot. Rather than having to work your way around others at the popular public accesses, you will often find the beautiful stretch of beach in front of the house all but empty.
From the balcony, you can watch the sun rise with your first cup of coffee and watch it set with a cool evening drink. As one guest wrote, 'Your home is beautiful... you have to be here to believe the unforgettable view!'
With vaulted ceilings and a bright cheery interior, the living and dining area is a great place to hang out with the family at the end of the day. The cabinets are stocked with books for both adults and children, games and plenty of movies. The kitchen has all the equipment to prepare your meals, right down to cookbooks and a spice rack. You can even watch the waves crash on the beach as you make dinner. Prepare breakfast and walk right out to the upper deck to enjoy it along with the amazing ocean view.
Downstairs, both the Master bedroom and Queen guest room lead out to a screened-in porch with a swing, rockers, and a picnic table and they offer beautiful views of the dunes and beach. The Master bedroom has a King bed, large closet, sitting area, television and private bathroom. The 3rd bedroom with twin beds is a favorite with the kids and also comes with a closet filled with toys. A 2nd full bathroom is on this floor.
The house is perfectly designed for a family, couples or a group of adults just looking to get away from it all. We have great pride of ownership and follow a rigorous maintenance routine to keep Blue Moon in a condition that consistently exceeds our guests' expectations. It is our goal to offer an extraordinary vacation experience. We provide a thorough information packet to help you prepare for and enjoy your trip and welcome any and all questions about Blue Moon and Bald Head Island.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home on Bald Head Island! The house was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach with gorgeous views and a peaceful, quiet setting. We especially appreciated how clean and comfortable everything was. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing BHI getaway!

The perfect house for our young family! Easy access to the beach for the littles. We loved the reverse floor plan for the view from the living area and balcony. John was overly kind in offering helpful hints and being so accessible. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts and sharing this beautiful home!

Highly recommend Blue Moon! The house was well stocked for our Labor Day weekend. The house was immaculate and the view was perfect! Golf cart looked brand new and was the nicest one we have ever had on the island. The host was wonderful and available anytime we had a question and went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and perfect!

House is well maintained, very clean, and well equipped - just pack your clothes/food and everything else you could possibly need is already in the house. You can easily access the beach via the walkways, enjoy the views/sounds from the observation deck, play games, or do absolutely nothing in the most wonderful way. The beach almost feels like a private beach - you have all the beach you could possibly need to yourself!
Property owner was super responsive and happy to help make this the most stress-free environment possible. It really does feel like your own little slice of heaven!
