Casa Viva Eco Lodge

The biggest draw of this place is its beautiful, well-maintained surroundings—a true tropical garden. We were able to admire Costa Rica’s flora and fauna, including numerous animals (monkeys, agoutis, raccoons) and birds. The scenery is unforgettable. The beach is best suited for experienced swimmers (at least in February when we were there). The property is located some distance from town, so if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you.

The cabin is dark and doesn't have air conditioning.

It’s a little botanical paradise just steps away from the sea and close to several stunning beaches. Set in a gorgeous garden, the lodge was well equipped and very comfortable. Great wi-fi too. Carlos and his team could not have been more helpful or kind. They arranged some great trips for us too.If you want a space (self-catering although loads of restaurants and cafes around too) to fully relax around beautiful tropical plants, birds, sloths, and monkeys - with plenty to do around every corner of this special part of the Costa Rican Caribbean cost - go! Thanks to everyone on the team who make it such a special place.

Excellent hotel on beautiful grounds. Beach access only a few steps away. The staff is very helpful and will help you book any excursions, spa treatments, etc you would like. Not walking distance from the main town/ shops but we really liked that to get more privacy/ enjoy more nature and less noise from the town which got very congested vs the area by the hotel which was peaceful. Also, take the restaurant recommendations because all were wonderful.
