***Oct/Nov 2026 we will be closed to remodel Casa Bella, making the main house a truly luxurious home away from home! This will include creating a new, interior staircase so the upstairs will be accessed from inside the house, while also creating a flex space off the master bedroom that can be used as a walk-in closet or a nursery for an infant. It will be equipped with a crib. The upstairs will also gain square footage and have a cozy sitting area with loveseats for guests to lounge on.

This recently built house combines the comforts of western living with the ease of the Caribbean indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Tropical hardwoods, beautiful design and modern amenities make Casa Bella a dream destination.
From the airy and bright living room/dining room you enter the spacious modern kitchen, with its full-sized fridge, stove/oven and double sink. The kitchen comes equipped with cookware and dishware.
On the main floor there are two bedrooms with A/C, queen sized beds, private ensuite bathrooms with hot water showers, fans, and shelving for storing clothing.
Go up the external spiral staircase from the pool-side deck to a breezy loft that can be added to accommodate up to 5 people. At the top of the loft's spiral stairs is a wide balcony where you can recline in a hammock and take in the canopy view. Inside the loft is an open living area with queen-sized bed, kitchenette, safe, fan, closet and three piece bathroom. There are also three single beds, perfect for kids.
Just across the pool from Casa Bella are Casita Bonita and Casita Sol.
Newly renovated! Casita Bonita (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) has a kitchen on the deck and two suites, each with a queen bed, a sitting area with a comfortable love seat and chair, wall sconces and overhead lighting, ceiling fan, and a bathroom (sleeps 4).
Casita Sol has one bedroom (queen bed and single bed), one bathroom, a full kitchen, and hammock-strung second-story balcony (sleeps 3).
A tropical sanctuary, the lot at Casa Bella has fruit trees, flowering bushes, palm trees, ylang-ylang, open spaces and shady zones. We often have howler monkeys and sloths visiting, and if you look up you can catch a parrot or toucan party in our trees or see the macaws flapping by.
The house is on both municipal and well water systems. Water is abundant and clean.
There is secure parking for up to 4 cars at the rear of the house.
From the lot is a 3-minute walk to the public access path to Playa Chiquita Beach, rated the best (and prettiest) beach on this coast! The path is another 2-3 minute walk down to the beach. Playa Chiquita Beach is partly sheltered by an off-shore reef making sections of it kid-friendly. With a series of sandy coves you can splash and swim on calm days, or wade and wallow in the coral fringed pools that decorate the points.
Centrally located in Playa Chiquita Village, near groceries and restaurants, Casa Bella is tucked away in its private spot a mere 1-minute walk from the main road.

Playa Chiquita is a safe small village 5km south of Puerto Viejo, Limon. People come here all year round to view wildlife and experience the Caribbean culture through music, food, and the colorful character of the region.
We are famous for having the most beautiful and serene beaches on the coast. You can stroll down the coast in either direction all the way to Puerto Viejo, Manzanillo, and beyond along unpopulated stretches of beach.
El Duende Gourmet, the grocer 5-minutes-walk from Casa Bella, is fully stocked with dry goods, dairy, meat, fresh produce, cold beer and a good selection of wine and liquor. Check out the fresh baked goods by the entrance. Bread, croissants, pan au chocolate, donuts, pita, strudels, pizzas, and empanandas delivered fresh daily!
There are 8+ restaurants in Playa Chiquita. Our favorites are Pura Gula, Gypsea Cafe and Lounge, and the two woodfire pizza restaurants! A little further down the coast toward Puerto Viejo is Spicy Coconut, a new favorite with excellent fusion food, great location on the beach, and fantastic service.
There are two bike rental shops, and on Fridays, Saturdays, and Wednesdays there is a fresh produce market, as well as a couple of pop-up produce stands where local farmers sell their wares.
** The two bedrooms on the main floor of the main house have A/C. All other rooms and common spaces have high-power ceiling fans.
**Enhanced between stay cleaning protocols. Cleanings done by a professional cleaning company. Safe neighborhood, secure property!!!
** PRIVACY: We only book to one group at a time, so the casitas will remain empty if your group is smaller and you don't book those spaces.
** PRICING: Please put in the correct number of people in your group for accurate pricing. If you wish to add or subtract people later, no problem, the system will automatically recalculate the price.

We had a fantastic stay. Great location near a stunning beach. Nearby restaurants are all excellent as well. Our host was very responsive and resolved any issues we ran into immediately. The pool and grounds are wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

Unbelievable place! We were a party of 6 women. The host was so responsive and helpful! She connected us with drivers, places to eat, and reccs for us. The home was perfect. On the property we saw monkeys, macaws, blue morphos, reptiles, and so much more! The location was ideal. We got around on foot, bikes, Tuk Tuks, and tour guides instead of driving ourselves and it was the BEST desicion. I can't wait to go back.

This house is beautiful and extremely well situated. Close to the beach, grocery store and restaurants. We were a groupe of 6 occupying the main house which was comfortable and well appointed. Kitchen had everything we needed and the living and dining rooms are classy and comfortable. The large windows offer beautiful views of the outside grounds and pool. Everyone in our group just loved the pool. Its well kept and large enough for us all. The surrounding yard is gorgeous and creates a atmosphere of privacy. Erinn was very quick to respond when issues came up and, as others have said, she generously provides info about the area. There are a few reasons I did not give this property 5 stars. We were surprised that the main house windows on the first floor had no screens, while the loft had only screens with no glass windows. None of the bathrooms have ventilation or openable windows and that was a problem. The storage situation is not user friendly with no poles to hang clothes, very few hooks or towel bars. The laundry room is great with two washers and dryers. The linens were of good quality and the towels, including beach towels, were plentiful. Unfortunately one of the dryers had screws sticking out inside that we didn’t notice before a few items were damaged. The listing specifies dining space for 12 outside but only a table for four was provided. We stayed for 10 nights. If you rent for a short period these things may not be a problem.

Our group of five couples felt right at home here (and there was housing for another). The host’s (Erinn) welcome and instructions were pleasant and helpful. The home and casitas were beautiful- as were the pool, the poolside area and garden. Two washers and dryers helped us catch up on laundry. We had a great time despite unusually cool, wet weather. Thank you, Erinn!
