Suite en Terrasse à Cognac

A cosy and comfortable 18th century house with guest rooms on the second floor. Our host was very gracious and helpful. Delicious continental breakfast was very welcome.

Hard to negotiate the stairs to the second floor if you have heavy luggage or are elderly.

Our host, Evilynne was an absolutely delightful and generous host who ensured we had everything we coukd possibly need. Her property is sensational. We enjoyed our evening meal in a beautiful setting on the rooftop courtyard and Evilynne surprised us with an informative chat about the Cognac region and some tastings. It was perfect. The bedroom is enormous and bathroom is divine. The fittings and finishing touches are exquisite and reflect the high standards our host has set. After a sensational night's sleep we were welcomed with a beautiful breakfast prepared by our host with fresh baguettes and croissants still warm from our hosts early morning walk to the Boulangerie!! There were delicious home made confitures (jam) exquisite home made yoghurt and freshly stewed apples and a choice of fresh juices... even a basket of walnuts to crack!! Fresh tea and coffee was generously served. I was so overwhelmed by our host's generosity and good will and the delightful stories she shared. It was a privilege to be a guest in this property.

Value for money was fantastic with the most charming and caring hostess. Secure parking provided for my motorbike at no extra cost.

Our stay in this B&B was lovely. Our room was clean, comfortable and quite spacious. It was in a great location, easy walking distances to everything in town. We had no issues with parking our rental car on the street. The breakfast was simple and a nice start to the day. Evelyne our host clearly loves her town and has a lot of knowledge to share with guests.
