It was a family run, working farm with options for breakfast and dinner. The staff and owner were friendly and full of personality. Lots of trails on the property to explore and enjoy the plants and animals. The cabins are rustic but worked fine with us. For a very reasonable fee.

Beds were not the most comfortable. We didn’t have hot water for the showers, but they fixed it. Need to wait for the water to heat up in the tank. Not for anyone with mobility issues. For anyone who book Coffee House, look for the sign for Lluvias de Gloria to turn onto the gravel road onto the property.

Hermida and Mario took care of us in the best possible way, and the place is amazing, surrounded by nature. Also, I highly recommend the farm tour.

Amazing family farm in a great mountainside setting. The mixed sustainable agriculture system was great to see in person and you can spend lots of time hiking around on trails. The view is fantastic through all the windows and open back door; it was great to wake up to in the morning and look at all day. I sat at a chair and bird watched right from the cabin. This is a special spot and worked really well for my family if 4, including two teen daughters. A good home base for excursions. Don’t hesitate… book it now.

You should ideally have 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway, but that is no big problem… you really should just get a smaller 4 wheel drive vehicle for everything in Costa Rica.
