Hotel Don Taco

The property was spacious and clean. The reception staff were super friendly and helpful.

If you are walking it’s up a hill from the main town. Breakfast can take 30min if they are busy

The property is very pretty and I liked that it was located on the edge of town, away from the busy downtown of La Fortuna.

Breakfast was good and the location was very convenient . Excellent water pressure and hot water. Restaurant next door had great food at reasonable prices and lovely sunset view. Comfortable beds. The large window in each room gives it a more spacious feel yet the surrounding foliage provides privacy

It was noisy inside the room at night due to the wind. Would be nice if the whole room could be sealed including the vents above it. The front door and bathroom door made a loud banging noise from the strong winds and I had trouble sleeping. There were earplugs at reception when we checked in but we didn’t take any because we were told it was just in case a car drove by, not because it’s a windy area, and then later on it was too late to get any because they were closed. In fairness my travel partner slept fine, so to deep sleepers it may not be problem

It has a restaurant and bar with happy hour. The reception and all the staff go out of their way to make your stay a good one. Th location is walking distance to town.

We stayed in Room 17. It was very dated. The doors are very thin and they rattled in the wind.
