We loved staying at the Affi house! It's in a great location - quiet village and drive-able to do many things (Lake Garda, Verona, Venice, etc.) Our children loved playing with the toys in the home as well as playing in the yard. We enjoyed the hikes up the mountain at the end of the street. I would definitely stay again. Maria and Paolo were so kind and helpful. They accommodated our early morning flight and met us for check in based on our schedule.

Maria and Paulo were excellent hosts and were very welcoming when we arrived. They were also very helpful when we asked their advice on several occasions - including telling us the best way to get to Venice and reserving tickets for us to see a concert in Bardolino. The house, although very old has been tastefully modernised and is very spacious. It provided everything our party of four needed for a week's holiday. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. On leaving, Maria asked for any suggestions, which might make the house better. The only thing we could suggest was the provision of more comfortable seating (sofas) in the main lounge - and a coffee table! If you want to explore the lake Garda area by car - we found Affi to be a good base. Bardolino was only a few minutes away and Verona was an easy drive. The modern part of Affi has a shopping mall with a convenient supermarket. Overall we had a lovely week - thank you again Maria and Paulo.

Fantastic house!

We (two families with children aged 6-9) had a really wonderful stay here. Maria was very hospitable and helpful. The house is beautiful and has everything you need. The children really enjoyed playing in the garden, especially the tree house, and in the small playground close by. The location is great for exploring the lake. We particularly enjoyed visiting Torri del Benaco, Bardolino, Limone (taking the car ferry just outside of Malcesine), Sirmione (busy but beautiful - go early to avoid parking trouble) and Riva. It's also near to lovely walks and cycling in the mountains (Monte Baldo - amazing views of the lake). A day-trip to Mantua and Verona are also really worth it. We can't recommend it highly enough.

A group of 9 of us stayed for a week at Maria's house and it was brilliant! Maria was helpful and professional in the lead up to our arrival, helping organise late-night taxi bookings from Verona and giving us recommendations of places to eat and visit in the area. This generosity continued throughout our stay and we visited some idillic beaches that we would not have found were it not for Maria's suggestions. The house itself was brilliant. Spacious and generally well-equipped (though some more chopping boards and better kitchen knives would have been great!) it has some basic local amenities (tobacconist, cafe, restaurant) in sleepy old Affi and is only a 2 minute drive from an enormous supermarket. 15 minutes drive gets you to the busier beaches of lake Garda and 35 minutes drive gets you to the more remote beaches and the Monte Baldo mountains. Surrounded by gorgeous vineyards, it was perfect for our group. All in all, a wonderful trip, made by Maria's lovely house and generosity. Would highly recommend.

Although this house, dated from the 1700th Century has its ancient charm left, it´s well equiped with all the modern facilities you can ask for. It´s renovated with caution and style. The surroundings are as well breathaking beautiful as serene. We had a wonderful week all 9 of us . (parents, children and grandchildren aged from 75 to 3) The children loved the toys, the garden and all the space to run about in fancying passed times. We went, as well, to many charming places by the lake in the vicinity. We reached them all within a short while. We want to thank our host Paolo for his kindness, helpfulness and easyness, and we would love to come back soon.

Sehr freundliche Vermieter Sehr gut gelegen: nahe der Autobahnauffahrt, nahe vom See und auch vom Einkaufszentrum, trotzdem ruhig in den alten Gassen von Affi gelegen wir waren 2 Familien mit insgesamt 4 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern. trotzdem war genug Platz für alle, wir haben die Kinder abends oft gar nicht gesehen ;-) Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder!

Maria, die Vermieterin ist eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, die super schnell auf Wünsche und Anfragen reagiert. Ihr Haus ist mit allem eingerichtet was es braucht um einen ruhigen, erholsamen Urlaub zu verbringen. Be- und Entladen des Autos ist am Haus möglich, Parken muss man etwa 250 m vom Haus entfernt. Man ist in 15 Fahrminuten am See, in 45 Minuten in Verona.... Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt, vielmehr waren wir beeindruckt vom stattlichen Haus, dem großzügigen, gepflegten Garten und der prompte Hilfsbereitschaft der Gastgeberin. Gerne wieder, volle Empfehlung!

Maria ist eine fantastische Gastgeberin: Der Kontakt im Vorfeld klappte reibungslos, der Empfang war sehr herzlich, Marias Tipps (vom Parken in Verona bis hin zu zahlreichen Wandervorschlägen) waren sehr hilfreich. Danke, Maria! Das Haus hat uns wunderbar gefallen. Es liegt im älteren (sehr romantischen) Teil des kleinen Örtchens Affi. Zwei Straße entfernt gibt es ein hervorragendes Restaurant und einen Bioladen, in dem wir morgens frisches Brot kaufen konnten. Ein riesiger Supermarkt liegt gut 1 km entfernt im Einkaufszentrum Grand'Affi. In wenigen Minuten ist man am Gardasee (Bardolino = 6 km), nach einer kurzen Autofahrt in Verona. Vom Rummel des Tages konnten wir uns im schönen Garten oder im gemütlichen Wohnraum erholen. Rundum zu empfehlen!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, das Haus hat ein sehr ausgeglichenes Raumklima, die Umgebung ist wirklich sehr ruhig. Einzig die Treppe in den Garten war für mich schwierig zu bewältigen da ich in diesem Jahr eine Knie-OP hatte.

Wir haben am Montag gebucht und sind am Dienstag angereist. Alles gar kein Problem. Maria und ihr Mann sind herzlich und unkompliziert. Die Räume sind für uns 4 Pärchen genau richtig gewesen. Im Erdgeschoss gibt es einen großen Wohnraum und eine geräumige Küche. Im Obergeschoss befinden sich vier Schlafzimmer und 2 Bäder. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und der Esstisch bietet genug Platz für alle. Vom Ort aus kann man viele Ausflüge und sportliche Aktivitäten direkt starten. Die Vermieter haben einiges Informationsmaterial ausgelegt und können gute Tipps geben. Die Verständigung in deutscher Sprache ist super. Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeber.

Wir, eine Familie mit zwei Kindern (12 u. 17 Jahre) haben in diesem wunderschönen und großzügigen Haus 12 erholsame Nächte verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und durch die Zimmeraufteilung und Anzahl der Bäder auch perfekt für zwei Familien geeignet. Es ist ein Objekt mit besonderem Charme, welcher durch die Einrichtung unterstrichen wird. Zudem besticht auch die Lage dieses Hauses, es liegt ruhig in einer der liebevoll gepflegten Gassen der Altstadt von Affi. Direkt dahinter erhebt sich der Monte Moscal, den man erwandern kann und welcher einem von oben tolle Blicke auf den Gardasee bietet (besonders schön Abends zum Sonnenuntergang). Unweit vom Haus, nach einem kurzen Fußweg, erreicht man zudem einen Bioladen mit sehr gutem Brot und anderen leckeren Lebensmitteln. Maria selbst ist eine sehr nette Vermieterin, die auch einige Tipps für uns bereit hielt. Sie spricht gut deutsch und auf Wünsche unsererseits wurde sofort reagiert. Wir können das Haus und die freundlichen Gastgeber nur weiterempfehlen.

Wir (7 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) waren vom 19.4. bis 27.4 2019, über Ostern, im Haus von Maria und Paolo. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr gross und weitläufig. In 2 Zimmern gab es einen kleinen Nebenraum für ein weiteres Kinderbett. 2 Badezimmer eins mit Bad und eins mit Dusche sowie einer zusätzlichen Toilette neben dem Wohnzimmer waren mehr als ausreichend. Die grosse Küche war voll ausgestattet und es fehlte an nichts, vielleicht richtig scharfe Messer, aber die habe ich noch in keiner Ferienwohnung gefunden. Die Tipps von Maria sowohl für Ausflüge aber besonders für´s Essen (Residenzi sale e pepe in Cavalon) waren Gold wert. Das Wetter war über die Osterfeiertage noch gut und wir konnten im Garten mit den Kindern spielen und auch das Baumhaus in Beschlag nehmen. Die Mitarbeiterinnen des Büros sind uns eigentlich nicht aufgefallen. Auch während des schlechten Wetters sind wir uns durch die Weitläufigkeit des Hauses nicht auf die Nerven gegangen. Die Kinder hatten im Vorraum des ersten Stocks praktisch ihr eigenes Spielzimmer. Eine sehr gute Bäckerei ist die "Panificio Benvenuti" in Affi - sehr gut und sehr freundlich. Kurz zusammengefasst alles super. Auf alle Fälle 5 Sterne.

This villa surpassed our every expectation. Firstly, walking up the quaint traditional italian street to the villa you are struck with some wondeful views of the cliffs of Affi. The villa is very spacious with high beamed ceilings in the living room, lovely wooden floors all around the house and an immaculately kept garden. All the rooms were very spacious, accomodating 9 adults easily with space to spare. On arrival, the villa was spotless and Maria, our amazing host, left some Italian welcome treats for us to enjoy! Also, while Affi is a quiet quaint little town full of character, the location is great for visiting some of the other busier towns dotted around lake Garda, being 10 minutes away from Bardolino and 25 minutes away from Verona by car. We could not have been happier with our stay - I will be recommending this villa 100% to anyone that will listen :). Thank you Maria for opening your home to us!

Wir, eine Familie mit 4 Kindern, haben hier einen tollen Urlaub verbracht. Tolles großzügiges Haus in den Gassen der Altstadt von Affi, sehr ruhig und ursprünglich. Im Haus selber haben wir nichts vermisst, sogar reichlich Kinderspiele waren vorhanden. Auch der Garten mitsamt Baumhaus wurde rege genutzt. Maria ist sehr freundlich und war stets für Fragen oder Probleme erreichbar. Rundum ein gelungener Urlaub. Wir kommen garantiert wieder!

Ein Liebhaberstück zum wunderbar Wohlfühlen

Wir (4Erwachsene und 6Kinder) waren diesen Sommer zum ersten mal am Gardasee. Wir haben uns unter anderem für die Unterkunft entschieden, weil sie im Portal gut bewertet wurde und der Preis im Vergleich zu anderen Häusern rund um den Gardasee günstig war. So nahmen wir auch gerne in Kauf, dass der See selbst ein paar Kilometer entfernt liegt, was mit Auto kein Problem darstellte. Schon die ersten Kontakte mit der Vermieterin Maria waren sehr angenehm, freundlich, zuverlässig und entgegenkommend. Auch während unseres Aufenthalts hat sie uns beraten und Fragen, auch bezüglich Ausflugsziele, umgehend beantwortet. So haben wir von Affi aus die wunderschöne östliche Gardaseeseite von Malcesine bis Sirmione erkundet, waren in Verona und mit dem Zug einen Tag lang in Venedig. Die Altstadt von Affi, in der die Unterkunft gelegen ist, wirkt liebevoll gepflegt. Hinten raus hat man die Möglichkeit, zu joggen oder Spaziergänge zu unternehmen. Ein großes Einkaufszentrum mit normalen Preisen befindet sich wenige Kilometer entfernt. Das Haus selbst hat einen ganz besonderen Charme- vor allem auch die Kinder waren begeistert. Es ist sehr groß und weitläufig- die Möbel dem Flair angepasst. Kinder sind offenkundig willkommen. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Der Garten ist ausreichend groß und wir haben des Öfteren dort gefrühstückt oder zu Abend gegessen. Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit, hier zu grillen. Die beiden Mitarbeiterinnen des Büros, das sich unten im Haus befindet, haben wir in den zwei Wochen nicht einmal zu Gesicht bekommen, obwohl diese den Garten als Zugang nutzen. Die zweistöckige Wohnung ist vom Büro getrennt- man teilt sich keine Räumlichkeiten. Parken muss man, wie beschrieben ca. 200m vom Haus entfernt, was aber auch die Möglichkeit gibt, die schönen Altstadtsträßchen von Affi zu durchlaufen und "Buon giorno" zu sagen... :-) Wir waren zwei Wochen dort und nicht einen Tag unzufrieden- es war ein toller Urlaub!!

We stayed as a family of 7 and had an amazing time. The house is wonderful so full of character and offered us so much space for us all. The village of Affi is so picturesque with some lovely, friendly restaurants. We traveled around the surrounding area and visited some lovely areas on the lake side for a lovely cooling swim. The most impressive being just out of Garda, parco baia delle sirene, so peaceful. We would recommend the house and area to anyone truly amazing time. Also very large supermarket near by for all those essentials.

Der grosse Pluspunkt dieses Hauses ist ganz sicher die Größe. Platz für 10 Personen, noch dazu der Garten mit Grill zur Nutzung zu diesem Preis. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das nette Vermieter Ehepaar. Maria spricht sehr gut Deutsch, ist extrem nett und hilfsbereit. Die vielen Spielsachen für die Kleinsten waren ideal. Ein paar weitere kleine Töpfe oder auch eine Mikrowelle wären hilfreich gewesen aber wir sind gut so zurechtgekommen. Das Haus hat einen leicht abgewohnten aber gemütlichen Charme. An der einen oder anderen Stelle wäre etwas Update oder kleinere Reparaturen nötig. Der einzige aber relevante Minuspunkt ist leider der nicht vorhandene Parkplatz. Die Zufahrt auf der engen Straße ist zwar gestattet aber mit einem etwas größeren Auto mehr als mühsam. Man kann keine 5 Minuten stehen bleiben da kaum Platz für andere Autos zu queren ist. Mit 2 kleinen Kindern unf Einkäufen sehr mühsam. Dennoch sei gesagt der öffentliche Parkplatz ist ausreichend einige hundert Meter bergab vorhanden. Es gibt wirklich alles was man braucht in der Nähe. Die Lage ist für Ausflüge perfekt. Schlüsselübergabe und Zahlung war super einfach. Gesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt der in schöner Erinnerung bleiben wird.
