Enjoyable stay with fabulous experience in the sauna and jacuzzi

It had everything we needed. Warm and clean and comfortable. Being able to book the Jacuzzi and Sauna was fab, and good value, so we loved that.

The only negative is that the views are not really from the apartment, as the apartment is at the back and looks out to a rather unfinished back yard / car park. Perhaps there are plans to develop this in the future, but maybe the current situation could be reflected in the listing. It didn’t feel like a huge issue, but it did take the shine off our stay a small bit. Would have been 10 out of 10 otherwise.

Really enjoyed the stay and the hot tub outside was amazing with views.

Facilities were great and allowed us to cook our breakfast. They offered a jacuzzi for rent which was superb as had amazing views out over to Valentia.

Location was very good and person who met us with the keys with very helpful – on the day we changed our arrival time a couple of times and that was no problem. The mini apartment had all we needed and was clean and comfortable.

A mirror over the desk would be helpful. It was hard to fix my hair because there were no outlets near the mirror.

Great location 5 min from Portmagee

No sound-proofing between apartments unfortunately. It sounded like there were a herd of elephants above me - constant footfall and thumping and dragging noises.

Not coming back

Full kitchen equipment.

Not to my expectation. Kitchen and bed in one spot and the bed is facing the entrance door. Nothing really special with this place. Your room will be facing the parking lot. You will be awakened by the noise coming from the top floor also. You can hear everything. Their footsteps and them talking. Regarding the shower, You can swim at the same time when having a shower because the drain is blocked. Too expensive for 1 night stay. Ohh and one more thing, you will have to pay if you want to use the jacuzzi for €25/hr

The location close to Portmagee is very good and the apartment is well equipped with kitchenette and good shower with plenty of hot water.

It's not the owners fault, but we had very noisy neighbours upstairs that woke us up on a Sunday at 5am with the walls being very thin. So we didn't get much sleep that night. Bed itself could be a bit more comfortable and the cleaning could have been a bit more thorough. Also, instead of a door there's a screen separating the bathroom/toilet from main bedroom.

Lovely evening in Portmagee

This spot was everything we wanted and more. The main attraction for us was the hot tub and when we got there we found there was a sauna too...brilliant. Paula, the host, couldn't have been more helpful. She advised us where to head on Valencia for lunch and even what road to take for better views. She advise where we could go for dinner and what was on for the evening (the annual pun quiz) and even made sure we wer offered team mates etc when we got there. If you want an authentic local Kerry experience I would recommend staying with Paula. It was very wholesome

The only negative I could at is that the door to the bathroom was a little broken but this made absolutely no difference to us at all

Good for somewhere to lay your head

The room was as described. The location was 2 km from Portmagee The apartment was out the back of the property with no pleasant view but ample parking. There was a jacuzzi on the property which we didn’t see or use but apparently cost 25 € an hour

Perfect for longer stays

The host couldn't meet me personally but they kept well in touch through the app. The facilities at the apartment were great, the tiny kitchen offered good options for cooking. Bathroom was spacious and clean.

Laundry service was perhaps a bit expensive.

Best place I've stayed in in Co. Kerry over many years.

Everything was perfect. Very spacious and great location. Bathroom was big and done up to 5* hotel standard. Very pleased with my stay. Owner couldn't do enough for you. Would definitely be staying there in future.
