The Hollies is an exceptional five-star, exclusive-use holiday home in the beautiful coastal village of Tighnabruaich. Designed for groups of friends, extended families and special celebrations, this magnificent shorefront retreat offers space to come together, unwind and enjoy memorable occasions in complete comfort.
Created from the shell of a much-loved local landmark, The Hollies has been thoughtfully transformed into a luxurious contemporary home while retaining the stained-glass windows, period details and architectural character that make the property so distinctive.
At the heart of the house is a spacious and stylish lounge with spectacular views across the water and a welcoming open gas fire. The adjoining open-plan kitchen and dining area is fully equipped for preparing everything from relaxed family breakfasts to celebratory dinners, with seating for up to 18 guests.
The family-friendly games room provides plenty of evening entertainment, featuring a 7ft pool table, a 65-inch television, Xbox and Sonos surround-sound system.
With eight individually designed bedrooms arranged across three floors, The Hollies is ideally suited to multigenerational groups. A ground-floor en-suite bedroom offers additional convenience for guests who may prefer to avoid stairs. Seven further bedrooms are located on the first and second floors. Five have private en-suite facilities, while two share a luxurious family bathroom featuring a freestanding roll-top bath.
One bedroom is arranged as a spacious family room, with a king-size bed and two additional single beds—perfect for parents travelling with younger children. Egyptian cotton bed linen, thick fluffy towels and indulgent waterfall showers add to the sense of comfort throughout the house.
Outside, the south-facing terrace is the perfect place for leisurely barbecues after a day exploring the coast. As evening falls, gather around the firepit, enjoy the peaceful surroundings and watch the light fade over the water. The extensive lawns offer plenty of space for children to play, while table tennis and boules provide entertainment for guests of all ages.
The Hollies enjoys an enviable shorefront position, with far-reaching views along the West Kyle of Bute. The cafés, restaurants and amenities of Tighnabruaich are all within easy walking distance, so you can leave the car behind and enjoy the village at a relaxed pace.
The local tennis court is just a two-minute walk away, while the nearby nine-hole golf course offers striking views across the Kyles of Bute. Scenic walking routes, beautiful coastline and inviting spots for wild swimming are also close at hand.

We had a great experience! The view is absolutely stunning. You can watch the sunrise from the porch and the main sitting area. All rooms have a private bathroom except the 2 upstairs share a big bathroom (which works great). We had everything we need! Lorraine is wonderful with her help and communication! Always willing to answer questions! Town is fun for kids and adults! And there is supermarket with all the necessities in town
The only thing I would say, if you are coming with older parents, the outdoor porch stairs although not many have no railing (I wish they do)

I booked The Hollies as a place to celebrate my birthday with family. It was everything and more than I could have asked for. The location, interior design, quality of everything in the hours and the garden were top class. This house has been so well designed and has created the most relaxing environment as well as providing entertainment for all. I booked the owner of local restaurant for the Saturday night and she cooked 5 star dinner for us at the house. We also used the Big Green Egg on the Sunday and sat outside around the fire pit listening to my brother on guitar. The view from the garden is so beautiful. For me…… The Holllies has it all. Thank you Graeme, Lorraine and team who pulled it al together.
