Lou Prat

We strongly recommend Lou Prat. We greatly enjoyed our week there even though it was very hot weather (August 2026) which made long walks difficult despite the altitude. Well-shaded forest tracks, sometimes by water, were good for short walks with gentle gradients. The location is very peaceful and surrounded by countryside. Nathalie and Yves were exceptionally good and kind hosts, keen to help with everything from maps to plates and washing. They offered much information about local walks and sights. The breakfasts were superb, with generous quantities of home-made bread, honey, jam and yoghurt. The three bedrooms share a room equipped with fridge, kettle, microwave, teas and coffee. The shared room also has many useful leaflets on sites and walks and books about the area and its natural history. Meyrueis, 15 minutes away by car, has several restaurants, a useful Carrefour and a helpful tourist office, with an attractive main street beside one of the town’s rivers.

Les hôtes sont très présents et prodiguent toutes sortes d'informations sur la région qu'ils adorent, les activités, balades aux alentours. Les lieux invitent à la détente en tout sérénité. Le prix à payer est 7 km de petite route avant toute possibilité de restauration ! Mais ils mettent à disposition un frigo et un micro-onde, on peut toujours pique-niquer sur place !

Le petit déjeuner était particulièrement convivial, tous les "résidents" prenant ce petit déjeuner ensemble, ce qui permettait d'échanger sur les "bons plans" locaux, en termes de balades, visites ou autres restaurants. Excellent moment que ce petit déjeuner.
