The location is stunning, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was superb. We stopped for one night to break our journey to our final destination in the south, but this became a real highlight of the whole holiday. It is a family run hotel and restaurant with a wonderfully lively and welcoming atmosphere. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking.
A minor observation would be that the bathroom seemed ready for an update, and a proper shower would have been welcome at the end of a long drive. But our whole experience otherwise was very relaxing and enjoyable.
