About this house rental

Typical Cotentin farmhouse, recently renovated.
Cottage for 5 people, located in a quiet hamlet 5km from the tourist resort of Barneville-Carteret, the sea and the Dunes of Hatainville.
Our cottage has been recently renovated and includes:
Hall, living room, fitted US kitchen, 2 bedrooms (including 1 on the ground floor) and 1 mezzanine with a convertible sofa.
500 m² of land with barbecue, garden furniture, swings (swing, slide), deckchair and parasol.
Private fenced garden and courtyard.

Internet and Canal SAT free.
Optional cleaning service.

Der Empfang und der Gesamteindruck des Hauses waren freundlich bzw. gut. Die Einrichtung ist einfach gehalten. Im Vergleich zu anderen Häusern in der Ortschaft erscheint der Einrichtungsstandard in Relation zu den Kosten für eine Woche Aufenthalt aber zu niedrig. Die Kaffeemaschine war undicht. Der Staubsauger musste von einer großen Menge verbackenem Schmutz befreit werden, bevor damit gesaugt werden konnte. Der Kamin erschien renovierungsbedürftig, funktionierte aber. Den Empfang machte wohl die Tochter der Eigentümerin, sehr freundlich. Die Verabschiedung erfolgte durch die Eigentümerin weniger herzlich. Hier sollte für künftige Besucher die Endreinigung genau geregelt sein, damit am Ende keine Unstimmigkeiten entstehen. Eine Reinigung der Bettwäsche erschien bei nicht wirklich einladender Waschmaschine und fehlendem Bügelbrett+Bügeleisen kaum möglich. Der Besitzerin gefiel auch nicht, das zur Verabschiedung der Geschirrspüler noch nicht durchgelaufen war. That´s not okay. Und der Kamin sei ja auch out of oder. Für uns war das dann auch "out of order". Schade für das eigentlich schöne Haus. Im Ort gibt es auch andere gute Häuser mit freundlichen Besitzern. Besser 50 Euro mehr für eine Endreinigung vereinbaren und man kann sich ein unherzliche Verabschiedung sparen.
