About this apartment rental
A bright and spacious apartment situated in a most fantastic position on the top of a hill north of Lucca. Walking distance to a village. Pool.
From the property you have a marvelous view over the typical Tuscan landscape with olive grows and wine yards. The apartment is a part of a small ancient village built around the main building, an antique villa, dating back to the 1400 century. Once the buildings where Anna is situated were occupied by the servants, working for the owners of the villa, the noble family Guinigi.
Today all the houses have been restored and changed in to 40 high standard apartments but at the moment only 13-15 of these are inhabited. A careful restoration has been done preserving the original atmosphere with stones and beamed ceilings and askew windows. This is a place where you will find all kind of comfort such as internet, tv, air conditioning and a common swimming pool in a wonderful position in the park.
Within the park, in the antique villa, there is an indoor pool (not heated), a small fitness room and a sauna. All at the guests' disposal.
The apartment Anna is situated on the first floor in a building with other three apartments and consists of:
A spacious living room with high, beamed ceilings and satellite tv. In this room there is also a kitchenette and a dining place (oven, cooker, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, espresso machine).Two spacious double bedrooms each one with its own bathroom with shower, in one of the bathrooms there is a washing machine.
The bedrooms are situated on opposite sides of the apartment which makes the place perfect for two couples. From the living room across winding stairs you reach a wooden loft with a double sofa bed. There are mosquito nets in the windows and aircondition in the living room.
Parking, heating and internet connection.
In the big park that surrounds the houses you will find the swimming pool (7 x 15 mt x 1,40 mt deep). It is shared with the other guests, open 09.00 am until 7.00 pm. Children in or around the pool must be under adult supervision at all times. Common furnished areas.
Other: small food shops, pharmacy, small restaurant in Matraia, 200 mt by foot - bakery and pizzeria/restaurant le Colonne 600 mt - supermarket 5 km - tennis in Ponte a Moriano.
Distances: Lucca town center km. 11 - Pisa km. 35 - Versilia beaches km. 33 - Florence km. 80.

Die Wohnung Anna bietet zwei tolle Schlafzimmer mit vielen schönen alten Möbeln und Bildern. Zwei Bäder sind top, Waschmaschine dabei. Schicke kleine Empore über den Ess-Wohnbereich für Familienmitglieder 5+6. Nicht ganz so separiert. Küche hatte gute Ausstattung, Bretttchen wären noch nötig. Man gewöhnt sich an den Herd. Die Heizung muss man clever bedienen, dann läuft sie gut, was am Abend wichtig war. Die Lage im Park ist schön. Der Blick über die Ebene auf Luca und in die Toskana macht Lust auf Unternehmungen. Die Anfahrt ist herausfordernd, italienische enge Stäßchen. Auch mit Navi nicht so leicht. Leider war der Pool noch nicht geöffnet. Und im Dorf gibts einen kleinen Laden mit super selbstgemachten Prosciuto und allem was schmeckt, auch frisches Brot. Also ein wunderschöner Flecken. Wir hatten blühende Wiesen und Vogelgezwitscher und die Anlage war nicht stark belegt. In der Sommerhitze, wenn alles ausgebucht ist vielleicht anders. Waren viel unterwegs von der Küste, Livorno, Pisa bis ins Chianti, von Luca bis Florenz, alles gut mit dem Auto zu fahren. Hat uns sehr gefallen - Familien- Kultur- Entdecker- Schlemmer Urlaub mit erwachsenen Kindern - super Sache.

Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, wie die ganze Anlage. Die Räume sind sehr stimmig mit diversen Antiquitäten eingerichtet. Die Küche verfügt über moderne Geräte. Vermisst hatten wir lediglich ein Schneidbrett. Gewürze sollten selbst mitgebracht werden.
Etwa schade war, dass man am Esstisch auch tagsüber Kunstlicht braucht. Auch einen eigenen Aussenraum gibt es nicht, aber das geht aus den Bildern bereits hervor. Die Wohnung war erstaunlich ruhig, von den Nachbarn bekam man nur bei offenem Fenstern etwas mit.
Der Pool ist sehr schön gelegen und man gewöhnt sich auch an die Badekappen, die man bei Bedarf an der Rezeption erstehen kann. Obwohl die Anlage an die 40 Wohnungen umfasst, war der Pool nur wenig frequentiert.
Ausserhalb der Anlage gibt es ca. 2 Minuten entfernt einen kleinen, liebenswürdigen Markt (Tante Emma Laden) wo man nebst dem nötigen auch frische Wurst und Käse kaufen kann. Bei den Brötchen empfiehlt es sich, diese vorzubestellen.
Nach Lucca oder Pisa braucht man nicht all zu lange. Die Lage ist sehr schön.
