On adoré être en pleine nature, l’expérience de puiser son eau dans le lac, la vue, le cadre, tout etait prêt avec du bois pour le poêle, chalet mignon..
Par contre pas de torchons pour la vaisselle, 1 pompe à eau déja cassée, des gamelles sales, et le plancher tres froid, surtout dans le sauna...mais très chouette malgré ça

We stayed in main cabin
Fab location on little island in middle of frozen river (winter time). 20 min walk across snow covered rived to the road for pick-up to activities or catch the bus into Kiruna town or Ice Hotel.
Sauna was great - light the fire to heat it up, easy. Log fire in lounge was cosy too.
All rooms have electric heaters so it's warm always, regardless if you light fire or not. Minus 15 outside
Lounge is very cosy and pretty
Staff doing transfers by snow mobile were great - their instructions on lighting fire, getting water and sauna were all good.
We got water from the frozen river for our stay, as described. You can drink this water too (we did and it was fine)
Read description carefully and bring all your food. Transfer is by snow mobile which you book separately )extra charge as explained correctly in description).
Kitchen very poorly equipped - several saucepans, chopping boards and frying pans but literally nothing else (e.g. no: drainer for pasta, bowl to mix food in, bowl to cook food in microwave, no tea towel... )
Just 4 bowls for eating (so you can't mix any food)
Paint is peeling from the ceiling and cupboard doors.
Light is so bad in kitchen we used our head torches.
No slippers (floors are cold underfoot) and no rugs either - just bare floorboards
No extra blankets
No hooks or shelves in the main bedroom, literally a bed, cupboard and one chair
No light covers on some lights - just the bulb and bolts sticking out
No scoops or bowls to wash yourself in the sauna - description says shower but no, it's a tap at waist height so you need to fill a bowl and use something to wash yourself with
There's a sign telling you to "sweep and mop floor, strip linen from beds or you'll be charged" which is making the guests do some of the change-over (yes of course, you leave it clean and tidy, put your dishes away and remove food, but strip the beds and mop floor??)
It's a shame because with a little care from the management/owners, some maintenance and one trip to the supermarket they could equip the place to make it so much more comfortable.
