Ruidoso Log Cabin Retreat - Peaceful & Convenient

This property is ideally situated on a tree-covered slope, with decks at two levels, on three sides of the cabin. Lots of privacy with a sense of being in the wilderness. Elk and deer could be seen grazing beneath the rear decks, nearly every morning and evening. Wonderful getaway spot - yet only about five minutes from downtown Ruidoso.

It was a nice location but was hard to find the house from the street. The back porch was nice and the hot tub was easy to use.

I came at night and it was hard to see the house number. The light switch on the stairs only works from the top of the stairs so you have to leave the light on all night or be in the dark. The light is also out over the laundry area. The kitchen could have more containers for storing food and utensils for cooking. The microwave is very high and hard to use if you are not a tall person. The house must have settlement problems as the windows wouldn't open and the doors to the back were difficult or impossible to open. The housecleaning fee was excessively high. I've stayed at other places in the area and paid only $100 for cleaning and it was a bigger place.
