Excellent stay at Hector's!

Hector's flat is just lovely! The view is truly stunning, the sitting room is so comfortable. I visited for three nights with three friends and the flat was spacious for us. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We ended up having breakfast at Hector's downstairs which was scrumptious. We did not end up meeting him, but everything was taken care of and it was nice to know he'd be very close in case we needed it. The location was great for us as we traveled by train and bus and the stations were just around the corner. It is also a perfect starting point for an easy and beautiful walk over the Skye Bridge. A Co-op is around the corner. The flat is upstairs, so mobility is necessary. We'd be happy to return any time.

Nothing really, although it was very bright for sleeping! That’s Scotland in summer! Once the curtains were open people in the parking area could see straight inside! Nice place though, I’d stay again.

Wonderful stay would definitely recommend!

The location of Hectors Bothy was perfect and with easy access to the Ilse of Skye. The flat was light, well equipped and very comfortable. Met Hector briefly (very friendly) when we had a delicious breakfast in the cafe below the flat.

There wasn’t much not to like. Although there were not many places open to eat in the evening. That said we did find a wonderful fish cafe to eat (outside seating or takeaway only) and the Chinese takeaway was ok.

The accommodation was better than expected, and it's a place I'd love to visit again.

This place was even cozier and cleaner than in the photos. The space was spacious, well-cleaned, and had everything we needed. The snacks, milk, and cereal prepared by the host made my kids very happy. The view through the window was absolutely stunning.

Since there's no dishwasher, you have to wash the dishes by hand, but the drying rack is a bit small. It would be even better if the chipped plates and the old frying pan were replaced.

A fantastic stay at Hector's Bothy Flat while enjoying the beauty of the Isle of Skye.

The flat was cozy and well-fitted, offering a fantastic base to explore the beautiful Isle of Skye. The convenience of a fully equipped kitchen and walking distance to the supermarket made our stay even more enjoyable. Free parking was a great perk, and the very comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. We would highly recommend Hector's Bothy Flat for those seeking comfort and a prime location for visiting the Isle of Skye.

The one drawback was the shower. Unfortunately, both the water flow and water temperature were disappointing.

Exceptional! Hidden gem . Cosy ,comfortable and fantastic views

Very homely and warm. Beds were very comfortable . The full size windows make for lots of natural light and beautiful views . Well equipped for a comfortable stay . Close to local amenities. Great location for a day trip to Skye. Good soundproofing , very quiet at night. The cafe downstairs is lovely too!

Very comfortable and great apartment with superb views

Stunning modern 2 bedroom apartment with fantastic views. Everything you could possibly need to cater for yourself or the café downstairs for lovely food. Plenty of linen and coffee machine with pods, tea and extras. Beds very comfortable and parking right out front. Highly recommend wish we had stayed longer than one night!!

Good location for exploring the area. Convenient amenities. Very clean. Washer and dryer were brilliant. Good large space for relaxing.

Bucket in outside pathway to front door catching dripping pipe, not ideal especially when overflowed. Lack of blackout blinds in bedroom. I would recommend a dishwasher but not critical to our stay.

Exceptional

Very welcoming. Hector had thought to get Christmas treats for under the tree for the kids. It had all the home comforts and so easy to stay in. The beds were very comfortable and the decor was great. Such a cozy place. It was a very special trip and staying in the Bothy made it even more special. It is in the heart of Kyle and the views are spectacular.

We loved everything about it. It was absolutely smashing. We have no complaints at all.

An exceptional apartment with all mod cons.

Fabulous location with wonderful views over the water to Skye, and very central to everything you may need ie., train station, car park, grocery shops, cafe & fish & chip shop. The accommodation was very well appointed and provided all the essentials to make your stay stress free and enjoyable. The tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were much appreciated as was the generous supply of toilet paper! There was even a bottle of wine left for us which was a lovely gesture even though we didn’t drink it. Hector seems to have thought of everything including providing cleaning products, tea towels, dish cloths and even matches for lighting the candles in the dining and lounge areas.

The panoramic windows were fabulous throughout the apartment although on a very personal level I think that the windows in the kitchen which overlook other (not too pretty) properties to the rear of the building could have a frosted/stained glass effect film on them to enhance the outlook and yet not take anything away from this wonderful apartment. Music from the cafe below can be heard in the bedrooms from about 8.30am which woke us one morning.

We had a great time with this comfy flat as our base. Totally reccomend.

We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 1 kid. The flat was perfect. Comfy and warm with everything we needed. we went to Skye on all of our days so and it was a great base for that. Beds were super comfy, shower good, washing machine if you needed it, good tv options for the wee man - just everything you needed. We would 100% stay again.

The only thing we didnt have was a pizza cutter but that is so nit picky as to not matter.

The view from the property was exceptional and added to the overall fantastic atmosphere. The level of comfort in the property was very good and there was ample storage space for the required clothing to fully enjoy the surrounding area. The local services and food options were also very good and easy to access from the property.

A small thing, but it could do with a couple of side tables in the living room. there’s nowhere to put your drink down other than on the carpet and I was terrified on spilling it (red wine 😫).

Great place, great area to explore the the Isle of Skye and the west coast , would stay again !

Lovely flat which we feel we would have benefitted from with a longer stay as we arrived in the evening and had to leave early morning which was more our fault than anyones, we maybe should have asked if we could leave slightly later as being on a Sunday but again, more our fault than the properties

The 10am departure with the kids and the WiFi for the kids was a bit testing, but the flat was really lovely all in all !

All was fine and comfortable. Very nice view. Check in/out process very smooth. All of us -4 people were happy with the stay.
