It was nice that the property contacted us early when the property became available (before the 4pm time), so we were able to head there early. I liked the location to the ski hill (Mt. Hood meadows).
I liked how responsive the Vacasa/Booking.com was when issues came up. They responded within minutes each time.
It was really cold when we were checking in. I spent 10 minutes trying to open the lockbox that the directions pointed me to with the code they gave me. I finally let my friend try and, while she was trying, I noticed that there was a keypad on the door. I tried the code and it worked. The instructions were outdated.
The instructions also told us to launder the linens and fill the dishwasher. There were neither of those appliances.
There were also only 4 forks in the cabin (6 spoons and 6 knives). Since the cabin sleeps 6, I would have expected 6 of each.
We did not know that you had to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the second bedroom. It was a little awkward in the middle of the night, needing to open their bedroom door to get to the stairs, to go downstairs to get to the bathroom. If that was listed in the profile, we wouldn't have stayed there (unless I missed it).
Also, there is one heater for the whole house, so you have to crank up the heat on the main level to heat the upstairs. The first night was chilly.

Perfect location, walking distance to everything in Government Camp. Short drive or walk to Timberline shuttle and Summit Ski area. Very clean, comfortable beds, suitable kitchen with all necessary supplies. House was warm even with freezing temps and lots of snow. No issues finding parking nearby
Fireplace smoked every time we started a fire, but then dissipated after a few seconds once the fire got going.

Super cute, excellent location, very clean
The entering instructions were wrong, said lock box but it's a key pad. Property is much smaller than pictures show but it's still cute. The stairs would be hard for older or people who can't move well.

Location - just 10 minutes to Timberline, and had most of what we needed for a small spot. Enough space for two people. Bed was comfy, plenty of pillows. Nice hot water for showers.
Our freezer was broken when we arrived for a week stay. We had just gone to the nearest grocery store 40 minutes away. I messaged immediately. No updates, vague responses, no offers of refunds - just “our local management staff have been informed”. We needed to go to get ice every day since we were on an outdoor vacation. It took 3 days for someone to come out. No one even told us they were coming - we had given up since they wouldn’t commit to doing anything over text.
On top of that we had several dirty dishes and glasses. And an empty salt shaker. Along with the fact that no one checked the freezer, it feels like the management company isn’t taking the time to make sure units are well stocked, functional and clean.
I would not rent from a place that vacasa managed again if I can avoid it - and certainly would not use them to manage my own properties.
Curtains are basically see through. It’s ok, except for the main bedroom windows look east. If you don’t like to wake up with the sunrise, you will need to use blankets to cover up the window.
As expected, the WiFi was spotty - you can barely do regular browsing, and streaming video is basically impossible. But that is true of every place up here. So travelers could be prepared to use phone internet.

Location and ability to find very nearby trails without having to drive to trailheads
The support by Vacasa was terrible. Not the owners, but guest services. They gave us wrong codes to enter and it took 45 mins to resolve with me being very pro-active thru 4 different channels to get resolution.

The Cabin is really nice, fully equipped
I had the worst check-in experience. They say you can get 24/7 support but it is not true. I’ve been calling for an hour without receiving any answer and the phone number on the cabin didn’t work. The only way was to download the app and rethrived the code

Cute/rustic interior, heated quickly, decent cooking facilities
TV. Had to access bedroom2 via bedroom 1. Confusing checkout requirements (4 different sets of instructions)

Location and wood stove
Uncomfortable mattress and poor air ventilation.
Not clean, I'd better not look under the bed.
Freezer was full of ice, couldn't close door, needs defrost badly.

The location
Cleanliness
All of the appliances to cook.
Early check out and not willing to bend on the check in/out window of time. I would have loved to have my dog here (no pets allowed) but we still had a great time. The light in the cabin should have been brighter it was hard to play games for my family, could see well.
