CASA PACHITA Getsemani

We stayed here three separate times throughout our trip and kept coming back for a reason. The owner is very responsive, and his father and Señora Erika are always there to welcome you warmly. The vibe is pure Getsemaní magic — we arrived at midnight on our first night and the music and dancing were still going strong, the kind of energy that just makes you feel alive. The location is perfect: a short walk to the fort, the beach, street food, and vendors. And after days of roughing it in the jungle and mountains, coming back to a strong AC and a warm shower felt like pure luxury.

Nothing significant to mention — it delivered exactly what Getsemaní promises. Not a luxury place - do not over anticipate.

This is a charming guest house located in the trendy Getsemani district of Cartagena. There are many excellent amenities within short walking distance including fine restaurants and bars. My room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. The bathroom had a walk in shower along with closet space for your clothing. The air conditioning was efficient and the TV had many channels available to watch. Staff/owners of the guest house were all courteous and professional. The wifi connection was good and guests are able to use the kitchen facilities on the main floor. All in all this was a pleasant stay that was reasonably priced in a very vibrant city.

THIS WAS THE MOST PERFECT SPOT IVE EVER BOOKED IN THE LATIN AMERICAN AREA! literally two steps out and I had a beer and food after a long nap!

there was nothing that I didn’t like…maybe just the long way up the steps but that all goes away when you get to the top!!

AC worked well.

We stayed at Casa Pachita in Cartagena, and unfortunately, it was not a great experience. The booking.com listing says card payments are accepted, but when we arrived late at night, the owner insisted on cash only, which was incredibly frustrating after a long travel day. After some back and forth, she eventually showed up with a payment machine — proving that card payments are possible. To top it off, there's a sign on the table in her living room clearly stating she accepts credit and debit cards, which made the whole situation feel even more ironic and misleading. As for the stay itself, it was extremely noisy — you’ll be lucky to get any proper sleep.
