Great location, walking distance to beach, shops restaurants
A bit rundown, mainly bathroom inside, but a good beach house

The property is one of many managed by a local agent. It’s in a very quiet area walking distance to Shoal Bay shops and several beaches. The air-conditioned lounge is comfortable for a group and the kitchen has recently been renovated, although the stove was not replaced. There is a lot of driveway parking space.
The property is quite old and the bathrooms are dated (shower in bathtub indoors and laundry/bathroom outside).
Although it’s a ’no pets’ property, there was dog hair on the bedroom floors and in the vacuum cleaner. There were lots of cockroaches in the external bathroom at night.
There were no exterior lights and several lights were not working indoors.
The outdoor dining area is largely impractical.
The welcome email from the agent advised incorrect wifi credentials.

The location was good as not too far from Shoal Bay restuarants and beach. Also very close to Fingal Bay and Nelson Bay with a short drive.
Whilst the house was clean, it was dated and did not have airconditioning in the bedrooms. In the middle of a heat wave where nightime temperature is in the mid 20s, not having airconditioning is very uncomfortable. We did not sleep very well during the nights. There were no dishwasher nor a dining room in the house. The dining area is outside at the back bbq area.
