About this house rental
The Location - Situated only a short walk to iconic Shoal Bay Beach, this property is in one of the most highly sought-after areas of Port Stephens. Only a short distance to local cafes, restaurants, boutiques, convenience stores and everything Shoal Bay has to offer, including locals favourite Gamefish Club and the multiple food outlets of Shoal Bay.
The House - Featuring six large bedrooms, three bathrooms plus an extra powder room, gourmet chef kitchen with quality appliances, two study areas, two living areas plus a pool house with ping pong table, bar and deck, in-ground swimming pool, BBQ area and under-cover patio, you will be hard pressed to find much that compares.
As you enter the first level you will find the master bedroom as well as the living, dining and kitchen areas which flow out to the outdoor entertaining spaces. In the dining area, there is an extra-large 12-seater custom made dining table surrounded by stunning artwork as well as cushioned seating and ducted air-conditioning.
The open-plan living area has a large wall-mounted Smart TV with Netflix, fireplace, corner lounge, ducted air-conditioning and electric remote-control operated blinds. The large lounge caters for 5-6 as well as room for extra seating on the separate ottoman style lounge.
In the gourmet kitchen you will find nothing but quality appliances throughout including a Breville coffee pod machine, dishwasher, fridge, gas cook-top, oven and microwave. There is also bench top seating with windows opening out to the outdoor area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a kettle, toaster, cooking utensils and plenty of cutlery, plates and glasses for guests. In the master bedroom there is a king size bed, study nook, walk-through robe and ensuite with double vanity, toilet and shower. There is also a Smart TV with Netflix.
On this level there is also a powder room with extra toilet as well as internal access to the double lock up garage with automatic door. In the double garage, the owners have supplied fishing rods, golf clubs, beach chairs and cricket for guests use.
Upstairs you will find five bedrooms, three with king beds and two with two single beds in each. All bedrooms have ducted air-conditioning and beds will be made ready for your arrival with nothing but quality linen. There are also two bathrooms on this level with the main having an extra-large spa bath surrounded by glass windows yet made private with greenery boasting ultimate relaxation
Upstairs you will also find another living area with Smart TV & Netflix as well as a study area with a desk for those who cant escape work whilst away.
Designed with entertainment yet relaxation in mind, the outdoor areas prove this home to be the ultimate holiday oasis. Outside you will find a large in-ground swimming pool surrounded by 6 lounge chairs for those who wish to spend the days relaxing in the sun as well as a large deck and outdoor BBQ. In this area you will find a 12-seater outdoor table, outdoor heater, huge bench space, sink and outdoor shower.
Now we come to one of the most impressive areas of the property, the pool house. This incredibly designed space is surrounded by glass bi-fold doors allowing it to flow out to the multiple outdoor entertaining areas. The pool house features a full bar with ample fridge space, bar table with seating for 6, bathroom, large corner lounge with seating for 6-8, ping pong table, heater, ceiling fan and wall-mounted Smart TV with Netflix. Guests can also enjoy a selection of board games for the family or kids, as well as an array of books to choose from.
There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.

La Luna is a large very comfortable space and is exactly as described in the listing, it has all the mod cons. However, the downside was the general cleanliness of the house. Other than that, we loved the space and the short stroll to the bay. We enjoyed our stay at La Luna and would recommend it for large groups.

We stayed as an extended family for a 70th Birthday and we were not disappointed! Ages ranging from 3 years old to 70 years old, the house was perfectly set up to cater for us all. In a great location, the home was just right for 12 of us - the bedrooms were very generous in sizing, and the kitchen and living spaces more than enough. Air Conditioning made our stay very comfortable.
The outdoor area is where this house really shines - we spent majority of our time outside. Swimming in the pool, and eating meals in the entertaining area.
Overall a truly beautiful home that had all that we needed for our stay, and would not hesitate to stay again!

Great location, gorgeous house in an idylic area. Our extended family stayed altogether here and there was space for everthing. Kids, big and small, loved the pool house, multiple tvs and lounges, pool and facilities. Highly recommend. 👌

The property manager was somewhat unhelpful.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.

The property is well maintained and the furniture and fittings were of a high standard.
We had booked as an Luxury Escapes package.
the biggest disappointment was not being able to pick the keys up earlier when instructed that the property was still being cleaned. Unfortunately when arriving at the house the cleaning had not either being completed or carried out. when the cleaners arrived we were asked to move out of the house with our belongings, so it could be cleaned !
1. The tile floors had not been washed
2. The beds were not made and personal towels not
placed in the bedrooms.
3. There was no toilet paper in any of the toilets.
4. Only one toilet in the pool house had a seal over
the lid to note that it had been cleaned.
And after cleaning there was still no seal placed over the lid, so assume they may not of being cleaned.
5. The sink near the BBQ had wine stains and a ping
pong ball in it.
6. The BBQ had not been cleaned.
7. The fox T.V connection was not working.
8. The upstairs T.V was not working.
9. There was no Tea towel left with the Luxury
Escapes package.
So overall the house was great, the cleaning was well below standards, and the luxury Escapes package was below expectations.
In our view someone should accept responsibility and some form of compensation should be allocated as at this level of house and thru luxury Escapes this should not of happened.
