About this cabin rental
Welcome to Opie's Cabins. These Cozy Cabins are fully restored 100-year old Rail Road Cabins, located near the Comal River. The Comal River is within walking distance and can been seen from the deck. Texas Tubes is located next door for easy outdoor fun. Each Cabin is uniquely decorated with it's own theme. All 8 cabins are connected with a gorgeous deck, which makes reserving multiple cabins more convenient for larger parties and groups.

Perfect location, you can walk downtown. The cabin was very clean and really close to Texas Tube for floating the Comal. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in cabin #1 where the front porch faces the parking lot. The parking lot is only for Opie’s Cabins. It is kept clean with good lighting and Edison string lights. The cabin is very cute and thoughtful decorated inside and out. The cabin very clean and seems newly built. All the towels and sheets smelled freshly washed even the comforter on the bed (which is always a mystery if those get washed in hotels) as well as the bath matt. The parking lot was full every night but always had one spot left for us when returning from dinner. The grounds are well kept and all the guests were quiet. All of the cabins are elevated on a deck so you can hear when other quest come and go. The two nights we stayed there all the quests were quiet. However if there were a lot of kids running around it would be annoying. I was worried about the train tracks being right by the cabins but I believe they must be old tracks because the train never passed by. There isn’t a river view from these cabins and we did not want to open the curtains because there is no privacy otherwise. We were only there to sleep so it was not an issue. It is a very short walk to Texas Tubes with a cut through from our parking lot. If you mention you’re staying at Opie’s Cabins your second float is free! I would definitely recommend these cabins for the convenient location, how clean, comfortable and cute they are and great communication from the owners.

Check in was super easy and you cannot beat the location. It’s always perfect for me and a partner or friend. And Veronica is always so sweet and accommodating! Can’t wait to come back!
