Amazing views, good dipping pool for cooling off!
It is quite a long drive from most places. 30 minutes down a very windy road to nearest town cortona.

what an amazing holiday we had at Tenuta La Scure: incredible views, great pool, friendly and helpful hosts, Cortona nearby and really peaceful. We would certainly recommend this place to everybody!!

This is a rather isolated, beautifully restored old farmhouse up in the mountains above Cartona with a magnificent panoramic view. The living room is actually situated in the old chapel where you can sense the sacred atmoshpere in every old stone.
As a bonus, there is the beautiful snall trattoria, part of the property, only open in the weekends, where you can enjoy the splendid Italian cooking skills from the friendly couple running this place. Small but lovely swimming pool makes the picture complete. In the future. a second holiday home will be added. Secret tip: the monastery Celle di San Francesco nearby Cortona but often overlooked, is an absolute must see. The serene, untouched and peaceful atmosphere here is mesmerizing.
Be prepared for a half hour long and windy road to Cortona if you want to get your groceries. The last part of the route back to the property is steep downhill and off track, not recommendable for a low sportscar. For me (driving an XC70) this was actually the fun part :-).
