Amazing place with a perfect combination of comfort and charm!
The place is ideal for a large group of people traveling together (we were three families skiing together with kids aged 4-14 years – big and small ones loved the place). Our host, Stefan, was very helpful and had everything arranged for getting our gear up on the mountain (the cars were safely parked in the parking basement in Saalbach). The Alm is carefully renovated with modern bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, sauna and relaxation area and nice little details like up-cycled woodcraft throughout the place. There was lots of space, for all to relax and eat together in the cozy kitchen/living-room area, and the rooms were big and comfortable with private bathrooms. And of course, the view is amazing! Red and blue pistes are right outside the front door, with the possibility to have the first ride all alone. The Kholmaisbahn mittelstation is just nearby, which we used to go down to get supplies, or go further up on the mountain to ski or after-skiing. One evening we even had dinner at the nearby Alm, which is just a small walk away. My only hesitation for recommending this place is that it might become more difficult for us to book it another time 😊

Amazing chalet with fantastic view of the Saalbach valley.
We stayed in the Chalet in February 2020, its really great place for families as well as bigger group of friends. Beautiful traditional yet modern design with good size bedrooms and large common area to spend time together after skiing. The Chalet is right on the slope, so first ski tracks every morning – priceless. If you need to get to town without skis you can go by gondola which is 2 mins walking distance (a small hill to claim). In winter you can get to the Chalet only by the gondola, so on arrival our host organised transport of our luggage by snow groomer, same on a way back. Every day though you will need to make sure you don’t miss 4:00 last gondola going up otherwise it’s a 45mins claim – doable – not recommended 😉 – so no option to stay in town. If you are not too keen on cooking every day, there are restaurants nearby serving food until 4:00 as well as après ski bars opened until ca 7:00, so you can ski down to the Chalet afterwards. View from the Chalet is one of a kind. We will definitely go back considering both winter and summer holidays.
