About this house rental
Our cozy Skislope Way 3BD/2BA home with a mountain-style gas fireplace and hearth and ideal layout for families awaits you. The open layout with vaulted ceilings features a spacious kitchen well-equipped with high end kitchen tools, a large island and bar stools. It opens onto a lovely redwood deck with direct access to the Tahoe Donner recreation easement with a trail that goes to the top of Tahoe Donner, and great for easy sledding and snow-shoeing in the winter. The wainscoted dining nook seats 8 comfortably. The family room has a large flat screen tv, ample seating with a faux distressed suede sectional couch and cozy chairs. Enjoy a selection of games, puzzles, and books available for guests.
All 3 bedrooms are located past the open family room. There are two full updated baths (shower-tub combination) with a full laundry room in the first bath. The home has a guest room with a queen bed, a second guest room with a twin/full bunk bed and a second twin (with a mounted flat screen tv), and a master suite with a California king bed. The en-suite master has a private deck overlooking tall pines.
The property is located in the Tahoe Donner Association neighborhood with easy access from Northwoods and a half block from the new Bermgarten entrance to the Donner Lake Rim Trail. Our house is located on an easement shared with two other homes which offers a lot of privacy. The property has access to the clubhouse that has 2 swimming pools (a heated lap pool open year round and large pool open during summer), 3 hot tubs, 2 saunas, and full fitness facilities. There is an additional smaller pool with graduated entrance and spiral slide near the Northwoods Clubhouse, Tennis and Pickleball facility, and a full golf course. The property also has access to a private association beach at the east end of Donner Lake with kayak, paddleboat and SUP rentals and snack shack. Tahoe Donner also has a ski resort, great for children's lessons, and a cross-country/equestrian center (2nd largest amount of XC trails in California). The home is within 15 miles of Squaw/Alpine, Northstar, Sugar Bowl and Royal Gorge ski resorts.
Each eligible property is issued TWO guest passes to access the recreation amenities in Tahoe Donner and each guest card allows for up to FOUR guest per card at the guest rate of $20 per day when amenities are used. Children under 6 are free.
4WD, ADW, or tire chains are required when traveling to Tahoe in the winter.

This is a great home to stay in. It was clean with ample room. I would stay here again! Beautiful views and close to downtown Truckee.

We stay in the Tahoe Donner area often and this time decided to spend a little extra to get more space. We are so glad we did. The layout of the house is fantastic and the four of us had plenty of space, especially since we each got our own bed. Two spacious bathrooms with plenty of counter space/hooks to use made it very convenient. The home was well stocked with everything we needed to cook and eat in, keep leftovers, etc. It is a bit odd to stay in a home that is so lived in (with lots of personal items around, including food in the fridge) but it wouldn't stop us from staying again. In fact it was probably beneficial because they were generous with supplies (didn't run out of dishwasher soap or toilet paper, etc.). The area is very convenient to everything and we appreciated being able to park in the garage too. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
