See everything the Waikoloa area has to offer with this beautiful Hawaiian villa just 2 miles from the beach! After a day at the beach, you'll love rinsing off the sand in the outdoor shower surrounded by attractive lava rock and open the door to feel the cool A/C throughout the home. You can see the mountain from your fully equipped kitchen as you walk your morning coffee out to the back lanai to catch some early sunrise colors. This villa is available separately, or you can rent it along with the Star of Waikoloa Ohana.

Waikoloa Golf is only a mile and a half away while Mauna Lani and Francis Brown courses are no more than five miles away. Everyone in the family will find something at either Queen's Marketplace or King's Shops whether it's catching a movie, grabbing a coffee at Starbucks or Daylight Mind, having a 'pau hana' at A-Bay's, or buying fresh produce at one of the many local stores. Finally, treat yourself to a sunset dinner and drinks just a few miles away at Lava Lava Beach Club where you can dine and drink with your toes right in the sand. For your sandy excursions, drive roughly six miles and you'll find the famous Hapuna Beach, a part of the Gold Coast. During your stay, just minutes away, enjoy the Waikoloa Hilton Resort where you can purchase a day pass for access to their facilities including five pools with slides and waterfalls.

This home is a subunit of Star of Waikoloa. If you require unshared access to the property, please consider renting the entire home. Star of Waikoloa Ohana can also be rented separately.

We liked the house and the location. My kids particularly liked the outdoor shower. However, the listing wasn't clear that the front of the house is subdivided and so were surprised to have two people let themselves into a separate apartment late at night. They were then loud for two hours and I had to go over there myself to ask them to be quiet as the property manager wasn't able to solve the problem. The rental company subsequently helped address the issue a couple of days later. Thankfully the subunit was empty for the rest of our stay. When we did have the house to ourselves, we enjoyed the backyard and the ample living spaces. The kitchen has adequate dishes and pots/pans but no basic condiments - not even salt. We had to purchase a container of salt to make breakfasts - I'd be curious to know if they left it there for future guests!

Great location, clean, great view of the volcanoes, spacious, good price, beach equipment provided, good connectivity. But the furniture was bare or a bit worn out. The pantry was totally empty, not even bare essentials, so bring your own or plan a Target run at Kona if you plan to cook. Overall a decent value for the price.

We were so pleased with this great house in Waikoloa! The backyard space was amazing, and the house itself was very clean. Major bonus having the beach gear, as this property is just a short drive to the resort beaches. Also close to tons of shops and restaurants. The outdoor shower was amazing! The only drawbacks are that we weren’t allowed to use the fire pit…even though there are pictures of it in the listing, we were told we weren’t allowed to use. Also apparently there is a side unit connected to the house, but luckily no one was in it during our stay. I was trying to avoid being right next to anyone, so would have been sad if someone was there. All in all, a really great place to stay!

The Big Island has a few very distinct areas. The home is in the resort area of the island so if you like that vibe then its a perfect spot. But you won't find any local flavor in the area and the closest is Kona which is a 35+ minute drive. My husband and I refered to the house as the vanilla box. It is very clean and spacious and has laundry facilities, everything you need for the beach and an interesting view of the lava fields. Bun no warmth or character. It felt very cold. If you plan to cook at home you will need to buy everything. Unlike many VRBO's where the pantry has at least the basics, the house has only the pots and pans and tablewear. Best part for us was that we like to do lots of day trips so from the location we could go in any direction to get to the major areas. It really is perfectly situated for that purpose.

Just what we needed for a work trip in Waikoloa. Clean and comfy home with plenty of space.

This home was clean and new. Well equipped with supplies for a day at the beach. Comfortably furnished with modern touches. Could use a few more pantry items like salt, pepper, nonstick spray and condiments perhaps. Be sure to note there are 2 separate units to rent. Very enjoyable stay over all!
