STEPS TO GULF BEACH!

My wife and I stayed Memorial Day week at "Steps From the Beach", unit A. It met all of our expectations.The unit was clean well stocked. The kitchen even had coffee filters, salt, pepper, etc... The two full bathrooms were convenient. There was even detergent for the washer/dryer. The memory foam mattress was comfortable, the WiFi worked great. There were televisions in the living room and bedroom.This unit close to the road, but except for the occasional loud muffler, the hurricane building codes kept the sound out sufficiently. The two window unit A/Cs kept the rooms at 75 in the 90 temps. There are plenty of beach towels, and an outside storage shed with a couple of beach umbrellas, beach carts and beach chairs; all of which we used at the beach.The beach is a short one block walk from the front door. There is little else within walking distance. Since the island is very bicycle friendly and parking is a challenge, we rented two bicycles, which we used extensively. We used the bikes for trips to restaurants and the grocery store, using the car only for distant beaches. We found the beach at Bayfront Park on the east side of the island preferable to Holmes Beach. The surf is too rough at Holmes to do much in the water, but you can float around at Bayfront.Lisa was great with lots of helpful tips on the island. She was very responsive to questions. We highly recommend this rental!

Great location. Accommodation very clean and comfortable. The host, Lisa, was wonderful.

Our family stayed across the street so the proximity to them was perfect. The accommodations were great for us and our 4 and 5 year olds. The bungalow is outdated and could use some touch ups in the kitchen and bathrooms, but was worth what we paid as compared to more spendy places. We would stay again!
