Lovely stay at Gallery Lodge

We had a really great stay in this lovely Lodge. Peter met us on arrival and took time to show us how everything worked and also to let us know about the local area, including the best way to walk to the beach and the shops. This local knowledge made a massive difference to our stay and was greatly appreciated.

Five restful days

Our Lodge was excellent. Superbly fitted out and Pete and Juiie have thought of everything you might need for your stay. The milk and biscuits they left us were a wonderful greeting after a long journey. The Lodges are all private and located close to the village. Peaceful and quiet,absolutely wonderful.

Relaxing break in this immaculate lodge.

The Lodge was light, bright and airy and adorned with the owner’s vibrant paintings. There are good sized rooms, an excellent en suite shower room and a very comfortable king sized bed. It is peacefully situated and we heard owls at night. Parking is immediately in front of each lodge.

No easy walking from the lodge but plenty of lovely walks within a short drive.

Wonderful, peaceful and clean

Great property, super quiet, lovely comfy clean bed and facilities throughout were exceptional. Owners non intrusive but considerate and available if required. We love the fact that no kids or pets are permitted as it assured us of the peace we were looking for…

Small gripe… would have preferred a firmer sofa… just our preference as we think it’s a bed settee for third guest if applicable.

Perfect location and wonderful accommodation.

We had a really lovely stay at The Gallery Lodges in August. We were pleasantly surprised by the facilities…it was great to have supplies such as salt and pepper, oil, foil and tea towels available. The bed was really big and comfortable, shower was brilliant, TV and Wi-Fi worked really well. No complaints at all, we had everything we needed for a short break. Pete the owner came to say hello on our first day and gave us some great tips on walks in the local area, and it was great to put a face to a name and know he was available on site if needed. There’s plenty to do in the local area, and many things we didn’t get round to so we will definitely be back!

Ideal for quick break on the coast

We had the larger lodge called Grafton The Ski Lodge, which was bigger than the other lodges. Our hosts were really accommodating with advice about nearby facilities. The unexpected pears left for guests were delicious.

Excellent accommodation

I really wanted somewhere quiet to stay, to recuperate from chemo, but also have the opportunity to see new places. The lodge was perfect: very clean and fresh; all the facilities we needed; comfortable and quiet; bright and welcoming. I feel refreshed. I highly recommend. Would also recommend a visit to Ilfracomb to see the Verity Statue.

A perfect retreat from the trials of the world🤗🤗

A lot of thought has gone into the design, furnishings and facilities in the Lodge and it showed. The attention to detail was wonderful. Everything to make our stay so enjoyable was there. Bed was comfy and even the pillows were great. No expense has been spared.

An oasis of calm near the beach and Tarka Trail.

Exceptionally beautiful lodge with everything you could want. We could’ve turned up with just a suitcase. Fully equipped kitchen with hob and microwave; even had a Tupperware box. There was also a good selection of local area books and walking/cycling maps. After a long day cycling the Tarka Trail we enjoyed the peace of the surroundings whilst drinking wine on the verandah and enjoying the rustle of the grass and eucalyptus trees. Braunton is small but quite lively for its size. It has some good cafes and restaurants with a good range of independent shops and about 4 well stocked water sports shops. Peter and Julie were there if we needed them but generally left us alone to enjoy the lodge. I think it’s one of the most lovely places I’ve ever stayed and we’d love to come back.

Absolutely nothing. Oh well maybe the internet was a bit slow now and again but was ok for our holiday needs.

Lovely Lodge. Only 5 mins by car from Croyde

Lovely Lodge in a quiet location at the Saunton end of town. Large lounge, bedroom and beautiful bathroom with modern walk in shower. Very clean throughout. 5 mins by car to Croyde.

Lovely, quiet escape

Loved our stay at The Gallery Lodges. It was bigger than we expected, fully equipped and with an amazing shower. We loved being able to have a BBQ outside the lodge on a sunny day and was not far from Braunton. Just a quick drive to the beach as well.

Wonderful quiet location, but close enough to amenities and beaches. Lovely countryside outlook, with just the birds for company. Spotlessly clean and the property was modern and high spec! We will definitely book again but stay longer next time.

Quite, comfortable, generously appointed with everything you need.

The location was great, extremely well designed and constructed little chalets with everything you may need: Milk/tea/coffee/basic herms and iolis etc. Well fitted kitchenette, really great shower, comfortable bed with good quality bedding. The hot water was plentiful and came quickly. Underfloor heating and a decent TV.

Booking.com haven't got the payments system working properly, so I was asked to redeliver cc info and then I had to pay on arrival. This was not the venue's fault.
