Absolutely gorgeous apartment on the heart on Ponto do Sol. Of course, we had to climb uphill but no problem if you fit. Super well equipped! Had every single small thing that you might’ve needed! Even pack of sandwich bags to wrap up a sandwich to go. Lovely territory with it. Super romantic with lovely view. Super helpful host! Juan was so nice and we got gifts to go! So sweet of him! And very helpful in every way!!

We loved our stay at Encanto do Sol! Juan’s garden is beautiful with a great view of the sea and Ponta do Sol. Juan was also a great host, leaving us a bottle of wine for when we arrived and a full Madeira cake for when we left! I would highly recommend staying here and I hope to come back!

We stayed in the ground-floor apartment, which was plenty of space for two people. The property has several nice terraces where you can sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery and views of Ponta do Sol village. A special thanks to our host Juan, who was incredibly friendly and helpful.
The walk down to the village is short and fast, but the return trip is a tough uphill hike. However, you’ll get used to it! 😉

The best things about ponta do sol were the views from the terrace and the tranquility. Juan is an incredibly hospitable host who gave us fresh eggs from his chicken coop every morning, in addition to other local delights!
