The home itself was spacious and very clean and the yard looks like a park; but, the patio area needed more attention, which the owner was very quick to address. The check in was cumbersome as it required using a lockbox to get the keys as it was attached to the side railing next to the front stoop, which made it difficult to move the lock box to a position that allowed one to see the number tumblers particularly given that we arrived after dark. A more modern keypad entry would make that process easier. The Kitchen was exceptionally well stocked but all the knives needed sharpening. The location is the real "star of the show" - easy walking distance to the pool, pickleball/tennis courts and library. It's also close to many shops and restaurants in Monona (lovely community) and Madison. The master bedroom and bath are both very compact and a larger person may have trouble moving around in both of those spaces. The step into the front door is quite high.The thing that we were most disappointed in was finding insects inside the house daily. There was quite a bit of rain while we were there and the many trees and overgrown bushes so close to the house may have had something to do with that annoyance. Our host acknowledged the problem and tried an non-chemical substance to thwart the problem, but that was not successful and the problem continued daily.That said, we would stay there again in a heartbeat!Great hosts that were responsive to our questions and concerns.

Stayed for 3 nights in Monona with my extended family which included 5 adults, a 2 year old, and a 4 month old. Chris was easy to communicate with and his home was exactly as pictured on the listing. My 2 year old enjoyed playing with the toys in the basement as well as walking to nearby parks and the library. The bedrooms and kitchen were perfect and spacious for the adults present. Neighborhood was walkable and a close drive to Madison. I would recommend to any family looking to stay in Monona!

This home was perfect for our family as we were in town for a high school graduation. The patio and yard were excellent!
Only feedback would be some type of door, gate or sturdy barrier at the downstairs entry to the basement. We had no issues but it was a little scary if someone stumbled coming in from the patio.

We feel very lucky we were able to stay at this home during UW graduation!
There was plenty of space for 7 adults + our graduate to gather. The deck was the perfect space to relax and enjoy after the events on campus. The house has a very well-equipped kitchen without being cluttered so we had everything we needed.
The location was super--easy access to downtown Madison and campus but in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of walking opportunities.
Host Chris promptly responded to questions throughout the reservation process.
Our entire family was very happy with our stay.
