I stayed in the superior king room, which was a cabin, separate from the bunk barn. It had a large patio door and windows with wonderful views of Twistleton Scars, which are limestone. It was very comfortable, and clean. Just outside there was one table with 2 chairs on the patio, and then another table with benches at the side of the cabin. They had lovely views. Breakfast was very good, perfectly cooked scrambled eggs and very tasty sausages and bacon.
It did become rather hot in the afternoon, but I forgot to close the curtains of the window which faced south. That would have made a lot of difference. It was about 30 C outside. It soon cooled down in the evening with the door open.

The location and scenery are outstanding for a peaceful and quiet stay. The landlord was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were well kept, clean, breakfast was served fresh in the morning, and coffee facilities were well stocked.
The location was great, with a little outdoor seating area to enjoy the scenery and a quiet lane/road to go for a walk or run and explore the area.

We appreciated the friendly welcome. Lovely setting in stunning countryside. Really nice apartment - beautifully renovated - also super clean. Excellent breakfast.
Only one potential difficulty- our room was not accessible for wheelchair users. Luckily my wife was able to negotiate the entrance step and get around inside using a walking frame. So all went well for us.
