Protea Guest House was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was perfectly located for my stay to visit family.

I liked the small table and chairs provided in front of the window and I did a lot of work there. The view from the window was lovely. Tea and coffee and sugar was provided, that was helpful. No milk though. It was spotless, not a speck of dust!
Finishings were a bit tired & bedding a tad old and worn. The bathroom is tiny but adequate.

The view was lovely and a very cute wooden cottage. It was neat with sufficient cupboard space. Great deck overlooking Knysna lagoon
Unfortunately the mattress was uncomfortable. The wooden floor was at a slight incline so the bed was sloped downwards. You could feel the bed moving whenever the people staying next door walked around or were engaging in some "bed" activities" 😁.
You could also hear the people next door moving around, closing cupboards or were busy in the kitchen.
You could smell when the people next door were smoking on their balcony.
