Being downgraded 16 hours before arrival. Forced to pay full price

One day before arriving I was told that we couldn't get the apartment because of technical issues but he had a similar one that we could get. The other one was NOT similar at all, way smaller and old and trashy compared to what we booked. We were forced to accept it as we had no chance getting anything else with one day in advance. He even said "I know everything is more expensive now with New Years Eve, but you don't need to pay extra for the relocation". NO OF COURSE NOT? You forcedowngrade us with no real reason and it seems like a proper scam. Pictures are added to see the big difference.

Okay, but totally different from the one we booked!

Many beds. Central location. Airport transfer availability at normal rate.

The apartment which we received was very different from the one we booked. As soon as we got into the apartment i was surprised to realise that it was totally different from the one advertised online. It made me open my reservation on booking.com app in order to check for sure, and i couldnt match even one photo from those uploaded and advertised on booking.com with the actual flat which i was sitting in! Im not saying it was terrible, it just wasnt what i booked and paid for!

Great value for money!

Location was perfect for us. It is next to the Viktoria square which has everything (coffee, food, supermarket, pharmacy) and the metro station which connects with all the parts of Athens that we wanted to visit. Apartment was clean and easily accessible. Facilities in the apartment were basic, but this was more than enough for us. In general, having in mind the low price, it is value for money!

Wi-fi connection was very poor (if applicable at all) however this was not a big problem for us since most of the time we were out of the apartment. In booking it states that there are two bathrooms, however, the truth is that there are two toilets but only one bathroom.
