Peaceful elegance abounds in this tropical Carlsbad retreat. This property has been lovingly renovated and appointed with tasteful artistic elements, including designer kitchen, glass rock fireplace (it's decoration only), lush furnishings, and state-of-the-art amenities.

Tucked atop the western ridge of La Costa Resort and Spa, overlooking the legendary historical golf courses, The "W" at La Costa Villa wows visitors upon entering the neighborhood. After parking in the private, off-road protected lot with ample spots, guests will stroll 50 yards along the manicured walkway, enjoying the swaying palms overhead and smelling the lovely jasmine that seems to always be in bloom.

The villa boasts two front patios overlooking the valley, and an enclosed patio for private sunbathing and dining alfresco. The interior, 100% renovated, features multiple seating areas and quiet nooks, including an off-kitchen den, dining area, and reading corner. The focal point is the luxury living room with custom furnishings, a large flat-screen TV (with a full line-up of premium channels), and a glass rock fireplace (it's decoration only) with original artwork. Additionally, the living space includes a lovely wine bar with every accessory guests might need.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with everything an accomplished chef might need - gas range with exhaust hood, dishwasher, double stainless apron sink, turbo cool side-by-side freezer fridge with filtered water, and multiple ice settings. Plus, cooks will find every necessary appliance and gadget imaginable, right down to the espresso maker, carbonation machine, and dinnerware. The granite, stainless, custom cabinetry, and extensive under- and over- cabinet lighting are capped off with a tailor-made stand-up granite bar....because everyone always ends up hanging out in the kitchen!

Sleeping quarters are down the hall, past the well-equipped utility close, offering beach blankets, sand mats, backpack chairs, sun umbrella, first aid, and extra supplies. Also in the hallway is the remotely monitored master Ecobee custom climate control system - The "W" has on-demand hot water, forced air heat, and central air conditioning, ensuring the finest degree of comfort.

The guest quarters include two queen beds with individual reading lights, flat-screen TV, full-sized washer-dryer, generous closet space and dressers, iron & ironing board, luggage racks, and a ceiling fan for an extra measure of comfort.

The guest bath was custom-designed, one square of ceramic and glass tile at a time. Featuring a custom robin's-egg sink bowl, extensive storage, independent digital electric heat (for chilly mornings), rain shower and separate wand, and under-cabinet night lighting. This oversized bath has it all.

Beyond the bedroom is the sun porch, with terracotta tile floor, ceiling fan, and large ceiling sunlight. Lounge with a good book among the tropical furnishings.
The sun porch opens onto the private patio, for sunbathing, dining, or just meditating among the lovely bougainvillea blooms. The patio area includes an outdoor shower to wash off the sand from those relaxing trips to the beach.

Take your laptop or tablet anywhere within the unit or to the patio and enjoy our free wireless high-speed internet access. Throughout the home, plantation shutters allow guests to maximize California sunlight where desired, control airflow, or darken rooms when an afternoon nap is in order.

While La Costa is an extremely safe and well-monitored neighborhood, additional security measures are offered to guarantee a good night's sleep. These include triple-point door locks, gate locks, and redundant sliding door locks. The Villas at La Costa feature private off-road parking, professionally landscaped grounds, two leisure pools, valley views, and quiet tranquility all around.

This exclusive property is only leased once per month. Guests are carefully screened, and a security deposit is required. The "W" at LaCosta is not designed for children and is best suited for 2 mature guests. If you are visiting the area and would like to host a family member or grandchild for a limited stay, please let us know and we can make those arrangements.

Guests have full access to all areas of the villa except the owners quarters, which are locked. All outdoor and common areas, including parking, open space, and the two pools, are accessible. No lifeguards are present at the pools and all renters assume personal liability if used.

The cleaning fee is $199/month. If you stay longer than one month, we come in and clean each month.

We welcome well-behaved dogs. Contact us regarding a non-refundable dog deposit. Please note that pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds. Keep their paws clean, especially when they re-enter the house after being outside. Also note, all owners are responsible for cleaning up pet waste. The back patio is not intended to be used as a pet restroom. Sorry, no cats (allergies).
